We're absolutely fucked with these criminals in charge. Big round applause to all the Brexit voters. Driven us off a cliff. Staggering levels of self destruction just for pride's sake. I'm genuinely sad about what we're getting into and its becoming harder to picture a happy future in this country. Add the pandemic on this and it's going to be a very bleak few years for millions.

I don't see how a bill automatically overriding EU law when we are not an EU member state is so terrible. Surely it would be more weird to adopt / apply EU law? - no other non EU state does.

Its crazy - I dont see what the gain is. We all know that post transition trade will be a shit show, it will be shit whatever, there will still be a border in the irish sea - there will still be lorry parks in Kent and elsewhere. What are they trying to get out of this. I see zero upside - what am i missing?
Surely we were getting the lorry parks and sea border anyway?

That bill says they can override any domestic or international law basically ever. Not just EU. International and domestic. The G) bit is staggering. It's fucking outrageous to be honest and should be criminal. We are making ourselves out to be rule breakers and untrustworthy just as we're about to try and negotiate a shit tonne of trade deals. I can't quite put into words how fucked up this is. Who is going to trust us again any time soon?

I genuinely would not be surprised if the upshot of the extraordinary meeting of the EU ministers that has been called will to tell Barnier to fuck it - to tell us to fuck off no more talks and to announce No Deal will be reached - after all they have been preparing, recruiting customs officers, making arrangements for customs and border checks - they just do that and close the Irish border and watch NISSAN and MINI and Airbus announce they are off because it would seem reading that the delicious irony could see them invoking 4b of their unilateral law to try and force the EU back into talks ha ha ha

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) says ‘hi’.

In today’s lesson we will learn how the EU is the biggest exporter of its regulatory standards to non EU countries in the world.

So its ok for the EU to rip up the WA but not us. ha ha ha indeed.

So hospital cases and deaths are falling but we need to have more lockdown and be worried by cases rising

meanwhile , we need to break international law and get some legislation through .

all on the same day ,mmmmmmm
Doesn't effect parliament as its a workplace? - they should still be able to vote it through.

First signs, albeit small, of the hospital cases actually going up now sadly. No changes in deaths yet, but we know this is because of time/lag. I guess they're projecting off this, and what's happening in France/USA etc and presuming the worst is about to follow. Hopefully it doesn't continue the trend direction change.

Who said anything about the EU ripping up the WA? It’s the potential trade deal they could walk away from if we continue to threaten to ignore the provisions of the WA.
Of course mate, just like we arnt ripping it up either - just a few tweaks to make sure we are not subject to EU law after brexit. I think even your good self laughed about this as a draw back in BJ's deal last year.

Well Dominic's going to find out he should have done a bit more homework when the US refuses to do business with us as a result of us fucking up the GFA. He really is a massive twat.
Surely that's a good thing - no more chlorinated chicken or NHS control? Or is a US trade deal suddenly good now it is a lever to be used against the UK govt?

They do like a bit of revisionism

Leave - Cameron helped understanding the scope - it was leave the SM, CU, ECJ - there was no ambiguity
Exactly, the Leave campaign said we absolutely would still be in a free trade zone from Iceland to the Russian border.

Whose view of what Brexit would mean should apply? The loser's view or the winner's manifesto?

Hmmm

I know that it was a few years ago - but Cameron was the PM and head of Remain - he was the most authoritative person in the land and he spent £9m of our money to reaffirm those messages

Forgive me for thinking his stated views were relevant
I take that point, but it was all dismissed as Project Fear. I don't recall anyone warning that Brexit would lead to Britain's international reputation being forever sullied, our commitment to international law being trashed, and that there would still be people on a football forum cheering this shitshow on.
