Difficult to buy a player from that club when dealing with an idiot.

We clearly won't pay his valuation, so to me we have to move on, but quality CB are few and far between.

That's very much the problem, the realistic options for CBs that fit the bill are few and far between.

City seem to be playing a game of chicken with ADL and it's a difficult game to win when your opponent is a mad mutha...

My nearest directed test centre was 30 miles away even though the Etihad is less than six miles away for me.

I had symptoms a week last Wednesday, applied online 111 for the home test kit on Thursday, didn't receive the kit in post until Saturday afternoon.

Couldn't perform the test until 9am Monday morning because the Royal Mail COVID priority box doesn't collect on the weekend.

Royal Maul confirmed receipt on the tracker item midday Tuesday and here I am, still waiting.

It took four days just to facilitate and then me act upon it. The system is clearly struggling.
You messed up a bit there TH, you're supposed to take the test within the final hour of your particular pickup. It is very time sensitive and sitting in the box for 8-12 hours isn't in the plans.

Seems like we are Sleepwalking into another shit season. Fiddling while Rome burns.
Points at the start of the season are worth just as much as points at the end. We are in danger of being seriously undercooked for Wolves and Leicester while the usual suspects will still insist Stones and Garcia ‘just need time’.
None of the blatantly obvious problems are being addressed. Four years into Guardiola’s tenure as manager and the same old flaws remain. Centre back replacement for Vinnie and an even vaguely competent left back neglected for square pegs in round holes who are ‘versatile’ and can ‘do a job’ there.
All our rivals for the Champions League have specialists in those positions. FFS. Even fucking Southampton, Burnley and Leeds have specialists in those positions.
To not have a left back worthy of the name after, what, seven or eight years in the job is gross incompetence on the part of Begiristain. Even the happiest of clappers must accept that.
Meanwhile there is a Captain Ahab-style doomed pursuit of the Barcelona of a 10/15 years ago. The ghost of what Messi used to be and a Poundland Busquets who turns slower than milk protecting a depressingly ropey defence. Gundogan present at every failure and every big game, just to twist the knife.
Garcia is short and slow as a man in diving boits filled with cowshit - and even he wants to leave. But his agent is Pep and Txiki’s Catalan mate so lets keep developing a lad for Barcelona rather than fucking him off and developing a lad for City instead. Defend that one, Clappers.
We need to drop the Barcelona obsession and develop this club in its own right. We need to defend and promote our own identity not be content to be a second hand tribute act.
We should be seeking to be the very best at everything, on and off the field. And if that means telling a few sacred cows that the best of everything doesn’t necessarily come from Catalonia then fuck them

How much had you had to drink when you wrote that pile of horseshit?

There is not actually a valid point in there, its just the written equivalent of a temper tantrum.

You rage about us not having a LB since Txiki Begiristain arrived and yet we have somehow managed to win 4 league titles and 11 trophies in that time, including creating arguably the best side in English football history that accrued 198 points in 2 seasons without a left back.

Maybe, left backs just aren't that big a deal? Especially when you have a manager who wants them to play as a defensive midfielder or a 3rd CB for much of the game. Another side of Guardiola's, often called the greatest club side in history didnt bother woth a left back either, they converted Eric Abidal, a CB to play there.

As for the CB issue, its a fact that with Laporte present over the last 2 seasons we have had the best defence in the league by a distance. But he's a bit injury prone, so we went out and spent 41m on a very good player who can replace him if needed as well as fit into other positions.

Kompany barely played under Pep, but we're going to get another CB for the right as we'll because Otamendi's gone. That will happen.

For everyone else's sake I'm not gonna bother replying to the mind numbing stupidity of complaining that the club attempted to sign the best player on the fucking planet.

Perhaps you and a few of the other flappers should just sit tight and hold the overblown melodramatic complaints about the manager and director of football that have made us the most successful club in England over their tenures? Its fucking embarrassing now, it'll be even worse when we actually finish up our business.

And by the way, someone who doesnt panic over a transfer window 1 month before its over and has a memory that goes back more than 9 months is not a happy clapper.

Mbappe has apparently told PSG that he is leaving next summer. I mean, if there ever was a perfect striker for us. This is it.

Mbappe and Haaland available next summer. Does it even make sense to sign a striker this summer?
While i always thought Mbappé had his career already planned out and he has always intended to leave after 3-4 years in Paris, i doubt Duncan Castles would be the one to have that information.

I think PSG knows very well what Mbappé wants and he didn't tell (or didn't have to tell) them recently he is going to leave next year.

This guy is close to the Mbappé clan and acts as their mouthpiece with another journalist Julien Maynard. He is saying here Mbappé can stay long term if the team shows ambition by buying good players.

Of course, i don't believe one bit of that statement (Mbappé is going to leave) but if his mouthpiece says the opposite in the media, it means it is the current stance he wants to give and Duncan Castles information (Mbappé has told PSG he wants to leave) is false.

As Qatari backed jewel in PSG crown, I just don’t see him leaving the year of the World Cup. Qatar know good chance french win and will want there poster boy, even in a french kit, holding it alift

I want him to be sold though. No more player leaving for free.

I always marvel at posters on this forum who talk about Bluemoon as if it somehow isn't 'social media' and how we're meant to believe there's somehow less bollocks posted on here than there is on places such as Twitter or Facebook.

Anywhere on the internet where people can leave an opinion anonymously, is a place where there is a hell of a lot of bollocks spoken.
Speak for yourself, I take this place very seriously ;-)

Great post. But looking at the fact that Neymar and Mbappe are both contracted to 2022. Unless they sign extensions in the next year. They will be sold next summer, right? Makes no sense to let players as valuable as Neymar and Mbappe leave for free.

What's your opinion on this? Do you think they are looking to leave? I have always said that PSG is an attractive option to players. But the fact that you guys play in Ligue 1. Might be an obstacle in keeping top players long-term?

Mbappé will leave unless he tries to cuck us with Real Madrid for an huge sign on fee while signing on a free. I expect this transfer to go like Sané to Bayern Munich (Sané not talking much but already promised to Bayern).

I don't know what to think about Neymar. I think we have more chance to renew him but it is 50/50. I can see Qatar really keeping him until 2022 even if he doesn't sign a new contract because of his ties. He is the global ambassador of Qatar National Bank and is also advertising Qatar Airways. Different status compared to Mbappé who only represents Paris and PSG.

My stance is PSG paid a lot of money on them and had to weaken the rest of the group in order to comply with the FFP, so PSG should recoup some money from their sales if they aren't going to renew.

And yeah, without L1 hurdle, i would be very confident.
