The entire point of my post which you missed spectacularly was that I can understand why people who don't spend their Sunday evenings watching La Liga re runs from the week gone by like I do, or don't read statistical blogs about earmarking emerging talent, or don't listen to a few Spanish football podcasts religious haven't got much reason to think he's going to be a world class player. Because I know that other people don't have time for that.

I dont watch Valencia all the time but when there are games on when city are not playing i decide to watch Valencia the game that i watched that made me think OMG Valencia have a talent here. was the game against athletico if you want to get excited by Ferran take a look at his highlights against one of the best defences in La Liga.

Casual fans who have not seen him play are not in a position to say he is only going to be a squad player. And if they do it is a stupid observation.

I spend much of the Winter at my property in Spain, I have plenty of time to watch football. He played 34 games , so most of a full season, not a handful as you mistakenly thought.I did not say i watched them all. I have seen more than you and the casual fan.His talent has been no secret for a while . I am sure you will enjoy his intelligent movement, it belies his age.

His crossing looked questionable though. Hopefully it was just that game.

Pretty sure both will get serious game time over the season.

As for nightmare start, we play Wolves FFS. Upper mid table side and we know exactly how they’ll play. Oh and Leicester at home, then a newly promoted side away, Arsewipe at home, then the mighty Irons and Blades.

If we need half a new team and cant work out tactics for these games, our coaches have no right to draw their salaries.

Honestly the ability for people on this forum to downplay City's players is beyond belief. We have the best squad in the country. We had it before last season, and we have it now.

There was always going to be a comedown from 198 points in 2 seasons. The answer isn't just to buy players, it's to re-energise and motivate the ones we already have. No one has signed a better player this summer than Bernardo Silva in 18/19 form. No one has signed a more exciting youth prospect than Phil Foden.

Don't mistake a dip in form after the 2 best seasons in English football history back to back for players not being good enough.

Your right Aguero has been arguably the best striker in prem history but he’s a year older and just had another op.
Bernardo was dire last year. Felt for him as he never played the same position one week to next but he was poor.
What has Mahrez winning poty at Leicester to do with my post? I’m yet to see him rip up trees for city.
Foden is as you say a prospect. But he ain’t David silva.
Know very little about Torres but again a prospect.

Last season we were miles of it. Tables don’t lie. The performance against Lyon and Arsenal were abject. Say what you like we need improvement if we want to be the best can’t say oh season before last we were mint. Every player is a year older. For some I.e Foden that’s good news for Dinho, Aguero, Otta even Walker it ain’t good news.
