it baffles me that so many on here think gundogan is wank but thiago is world class.

He won't fit into Liverpools midfield at all. He recieves and passes the ball and thats what liverpool dont do. He doesn't get many assists and he doesn't score many goals. Liverpool are based on an incredibly hard working midfield 3 and getting the ball forward fast to their front 3. Take out legs from Liverpools midfield and they are worse for it.

Jack is typically reliable too. He’s the one hopefully we sign. But I’m still fearful we don’t get anyone. He’s the best young defender in the world, even more than Upamacano so hopefully Txiki and Monchi are in discussion but odd it’s come this late in the window which makes me skeptical.

Unless we're keeping Otamendi (which pls no) it probably makes more sense to just keep Stones at this point. We'd be selling him at the low point of his value and Laporte/Ake/New CB/Stones actually sounds pretty great to me. Though I would understand why he wouldn't want to be fourth choice.

As ever a player who signs for the Dippers goes up a few notches in how highly they are rated. Oh, and focusing on how much of a bargain he is, and little or no mention of his historical injury record which was bad enough for most on here not to want him.

Contrast that with how old/over paid/on the decline the greatest player of all time was when there was a sniff he was coming to us.
