Bluemoon's Official Top 100 Albums

Lloyd Cole is very underrated.
Id take his lyrics and subject matter over Moz any day.
Saw him solo in Boston earlier this year. Bizarre venue, a wine bar with a concert room downstairs - a sit down and eat venue with servers bringing you your order as he played!
He knows the owner and play a there once a year or so. A good night out dispite the unusual surroundings

I based my top 20 on that rule - what artists do I play the most, and limited to one album per artist.
I expected ‘definitely maybe’ to be high, and I’ll expect the stone roses along shortly. Other than that I had SLF, The La’s, and different albums for Talk Talk and Pearl Jam. So 6.
I would have Bowie, for 7, but couldn’t pick an album higher than the ones I picked, though he’d be no 1, in artists top 20.

I did the same. To each his/her own.

I'm not going to have any more of my picks appear so might as well share my picks:

1. led zeppelin: physical graffiti
2. van halen: women & children first
3. led zeppelin: IV
4. aerosmith: rocks
5. van halen: fair warning
6. rainbow: rising
7. springsteen, bruce: born in usa
8. who, the: who's next
9. led zeppelin: presence
10. van halen: van halen
11. kiss: destroyer
12. pink floyd: wish you were here
13. bowie, david: aladdin sane
14. bowie, david: ziggy stardust
15. yes: the yes album
16. fleetwood mac: rumours
17. mellencamp, john: lonesome jubilee
18. boston: boston
19. rush: signals
20. queen: sheer heart attack

Aw, fantastic — someone else had a PWEI record! I had “This is the Day”. Long live the Poppies! Great taste mate!

Have to say I am miffed that no one else had Gang of Four’s “Entertainment!” That was my number one and the point system suggests it’s highly likely no one else even had it on his/her list :(

Indeed . Same with my number 1.

but that’s the point of this (kudos BH). It’s a personaly subjective top 20. My (or anyone’s top 20), might not be the best best top 20 albums ever, but they are 20 albums that mean something to me personally.

I now live in Stourbridge home to the Poppies,Neds and The Wonder Stuff. I used to see Clint Poppy all the time around town.
I saw the Ned’s at Trent Poly in 89-90, supporting Jesus Jones, the energy on stage was what did it for me... and it was also a ‘moment’
