When was the last time we went into a season with one available striker?

Still 5/6 favourites to win the league, scouse vermin 2/1, must admit for the first time in many seasons i’m not confident we’ll win it, i certainly wouldn’t back us at those odds, Pep will probably say we’ll mix and match with what we’ve got up front but think we need somebody, Cavani is still a free agent maybe worth a punt.

It’s been well publicised that HH no longer funds the club from his own pocket.

Either way going into the season with one fit striker is pretty disgraceful for a club supposedly serious about winning the title.

I think it’s pretty reasonable to suggest he’s lost interest given the fact the squad has gradually got weaker the last two seasons.

The failure to address obvious weaknesses in the squad for a second consecutive summer is pretty worrying.

I mean they employ medics and physio's that would tell them meniscus injuries are no joke and not easy/quick to recover from?

Just my opinion but I think the Messi saga made the club take their eye off the ball.

We have 2 quality players per position and if both get injured, we make do. We can't have 3 players per position in case 2 get injured. We play one up front, so we have 2 players for that position.
