Stay at home. And I'm being serious - nobody knows how this is going to pan out and there's a serious risk you could get stranded somewhere. Wait until things are vaguely back to normal - those places will still be there.

Obviously it's so hard to second guess but I think the 3 countries you mention have a reasonable chance of being open and accepting tourists, albeit with probable restrictions (and whether they would want us is another matter altogether)
Thailand are opening with long stay visas only at first, not suitable for people looking for a fortnight away, but hopefully that will go well and pave the way for further reintroduction of the tourism that the country so heavily relies on.

Had you said America, Australia, Indonesia (sigh, my Bali trip in Feb looks so unlikely), New Zealand then I'd have said highly unlikely.

I'd personally ignore the advice above about staying at home, but I would caveat it with not booking or committing to anything too far ahead at the moment.
Good to do research and whatnot but unless you can get something on a low deposit that you're happy to sacrifice should the worst happen, and ideally a late balance due date payment, then I'd hang fire on actually putting any money down for long haul travel in the first quarter of 2021.

Oh, and book packages. Now is not the time to do something DIY, way too many financial pitfalls.

Recently offered a trip on the Queen Elizabeth as previous cruisers of her sister vessel for a mere £370 in 2021, inside cabin for a week, but not even remotely interested at any price as they are just nut gathering to stave of their Winterfell. We were booked in to see our kindred spirits north of the border next week but now we cannot, so have cancelled all accommodation ripping up our map of the western isles in case it does nay fall into heathen hands !

A belly full of porridge oats and the Nay The Noo and we shall see you all real soon ya dogs. Cherie bye.

It's taken me 6 months to receive a refund for long haul flights to Bali. Fortunately I cancelled accommodation through booking.com which had free cancellation ahead of the stay. If you want to avoid stress, being on hold for hours and uncertainty then don't plan anything and save the money for a time when you can definitely go.

Personally I will expect not to go away but may look in to booking flights at last minute to European places on the safe list for the time I have booked off with work.

Did not see Turkey coming!
Some figure fudging been going on over there it seems.
That's gonna fuck up the plans of so many people as Turkey has looked the safest option for late summer sunshine in Europe.
Less surprising to see Poland removed, gonna have to sit on the Krakow situation for a week or 2 now and see if they can turn it round (unlikely)

But Greece survives another week! Assuming no last minute disasters myself and my mate will be on the plane to Halkidiki next Wednesday. I've also just bought a £14 one way flight back on the Friday as insurance if Greece does get removed next Thursday.

Think there will be a few happy people in this thread tonight.

Good news, no quarantine on my return from Lagoon Princess, very nearly booked Turkey for end of October today too very lucky.

Had a night in Thessaloniki yesterday, really good city never been somewhere with so many bars.

It's sound, you have to download the app and book each meal time on there and can get all your drinks ordered to your sunbed on it too. Spotlessly clean and covid compliant. The jacuzzi on my terrace was a tad colder than I would have liked.

Well that’s a bummer with Turkey, flying tomorrow luckily I have scores of holidays to take so unless Jet2 pull the plug I am still going

If it's anything like previous experiences, and if it's a Jet2 package, they will release an update tonight telling customers not to travel to the airport tomorrow, but people booked on flight only will be ok to crack on.

Good to hear. I'd read about the app and thought it sounded like a great idea, service to your sunbed without having to lift a finger.

We're just in a sea view room but gonna email them from my work account asking after upgrades cos quite fancy a pool (private or swim up) or jacuzzi.

It will get cancelled and refunded, don't sweat it.

Fully expect the update this evening and no doubts it will follow the previous paths of countries suddenly listed for quarantine.

Jet2 have confirmed all package holiday customers travelling tomorrow are not to go to the airport cos they have been cancelled.
Jet2 flight only can travel tomorrow.

Probably tomorrow they will announce further cancellations for those due to travel from Saturday onwards; my guess is they will cancel up to half term initially but realistically Turkey is done for the season now.
