How do two lads from Burnage try to look Mancunian?

Ian brown yeah, he's a wool tbf.

Is there a Manchester dress code to look like? I know casual/terrace culture, mod and indie influence some, but then there is enough mancs that wear other stuff, grey tracksuits for one or cargo shorts all year round etc.

There is no denying that the simimian stroll is a local trait though some do over egg it.

But Manchester is too diverse to have just one look imho.

i am from burnage About 500 yards from where they lived and just a bit younger than Liam. I don’t wear gaguoles or talk like that or indeed walk like that.

Just wearing an oversized jacket usually does it for me.

Oh yeah I forgot and must admit the jacket/coat rules are a Mancunian trait.

I always wear a jacket normally of a size that is loose enough and is usually worn all weathers and whether indoors or not, and if it's a cagoul/parka buttoned up to the top

Though I rarely wear either, much more prefer a nice reefer/donkey jacket myself

So because you don't no other Mancunian does? As I said our city is diverse

i am not sure what your point is. 50 year old men behaving and dressing like Liam and this ian brown seems a bit odd to me. I am starting to debate if I should start wearing chinos rather than jeans. I tell you who has got it just right and does not need to act Mancunian - Shaun Ryder. Growing old without having to put an act on. Include bez in that.

All these people who try ridiculously hard to look Mancunian like him and Gallagher just look like a set of cunts to me. I went to see them at the etihad (not that I am a fan but just for the corporate grub!) and have never been as bored in my life.
I tell you who do look like twats. Middle aged blokes wearing hats that are too small for their fat heads.

Aren't they from Salford way though ;-)

Be careful Farquar that silver spoon doesn't fall out of one's mouth.
Silver spoon? I was born in a council house and my mum has been on the sick all her life? Dad was a baggage handler?

Well I wasn't sure what you point was, you originally said people trying to act Manc, I just pointed out Manchester is very diverse so acting Manc can mean many things.

I wasn't being specific about age or people, only flagged up the galaghers as to me it seems strange to claim mancunians are trying to act mancunian and if you read the oasis threads I ain't a fan of them so this isn't some defense because ot's them two.

Why do you assume it is an act and not just their personalities, as I said many mancs dress that way many don't.

Each to their own I say.

I agree on brown though
