Left back is 1. Defensive midfield was an issue that we failed to address 2 years ago and then got badly wrong last summer. Highly apparent last season we needed another top forward in.

You mention Firmino at Liverpool but he’s got 2 players either side of him who will both get 25-30 a season. We don’t. Their attack is built to get goals from Salah and Mane. We have Sterling who will score 20+ but unlike Salah and Mane he regularly misses huge chances in big games when the pressure is on.

We lack power & pace in midfield and we lack a world class forward.

Far as I recall season before last they had the same players and we still won the league? Despite the numbers their front 3 put up. I'm not quite sure if getting a forward was as necessary. Last season we struggled with multiple injuries to key players on a regular basis. Our backline was shite, a problem we could just not fix, and that can happen. Why lose heads when we have addressed a major issue, we have options in squad to make it work, just need Pep to sort it out, and it could take time. Correct me if I'm wrong but scoring goals wasn't really an issue aside in games where we lacked creative prowess, even with Aguero fit. 100+ goals again last season, the issue was clearly the backline. Liverpool used to play very similar to us at a point, only difference was, if they were countered, they were able to find a solution to stop it, we weren't.

We still have a top squad and great players. These issues (bar a reliable left back) can be addressed, but sometimes the damage can take a while to fix.

Not disagreeing but I think we scored the most goals in the last 10 mins of matches than anyone else last season - something like 20+
 
There isn't enough goals in a Jesus, Foden, Mahrez, Torres, Sterling forward line if we want to win the major trophies going forward. The most prolific out of that group is Sterling, who scores 1 out of every 4 big chances at most. Imagine if we had a forward who puts 3 out of 4 chances away. That's what we need and have needed for a year and a half. We'll pay the price this season big time, as shown yesterday.
 
This has been coming the drop off , Peps barca in the 3rd season began to drop off and Peps Bayern began to drop off in his last season with them yes they won the league but its not hard in a one team league but his Bayern side just gave up in the champions league. 2 insane years for bayern then a drop off, 3 amazing years with Barca then a drop off in form.

We played late in the chumps league, no rest , no strikers and three out with covid , meanwhile the dippers had rest , several preseason games and no covid players and not seven players out , your bashing of the club is relentless and frankly after several years ,boring
you still havent answered who else had three covid players

Yes Pep needs sharing of the blame. Putting players out of position, keeping to the same system when a change is needed, not anticipating that substitutions are needed and instead reacting when the opposition scores.

Plus I'm sure he had a say in many of the terrible buys that we've made.

Mate our problems are not just at left back, or just in midfield. I don't think we've made terrible buys, it's just we haven't got the right balance. Especially in midfield. We've looked best when no matter who rotates in attack or backline, our midfield stays stable. Pep's not found the right balance yet post Fernandinho, I think that's what we can pin it to. Getting another player doesn't solve that immediately.

Our team's strength was always our midfield, almost like it was our identity and what other teams feared most, because it was almost impossible to mark KDB and David, it's just not the same now. If KDB creates something, it's fine, else there's no one offering any creativity in the side, the full backs are scared or incapable of going forward. Foden hasn't quite proven to be the direct David Silva replacement, he's quite young and not yet learned the art of controlling the play or tempo like El Mago.

As I said, it will take time. Better to just accept that we are in transition, a window or two won't fix it (maybe can fix the left back issue, but nothing else). We will eventually get a forward in as well, bound to happen. Sometimes things just don't go as planned. We can only wish things were in our favour every season.

So you're saying rid of Pep? Fair, then get who? Who is a better coach available right now that can come in and replace Pep to win us the league and/or CL

Mahrez has played twice and both he and Laporte played yesterday. Only one to have missed all games is Gundogan and to be fair it's not that big of a miss.

You, along with four or five others, have constant go's at people who dare to even vaguely criticise the club. You wouldn't be out of place on a City version of the Arsenal Fan TV where we're absolutely brilliant no matter what.

Im not saying get rid of Pep im hoping this is just a minor slump etc but both teams hes manages have suffered in his final season like the teams dont want to play for him.

Aguero ?, Jesus all but 1. But for the Leicester result when you can add, Laporte, and Stones, and was pre Dias. The start hasn’t been that bad 4 points from Leeds and Wolves away is okay.
Think you’ll find she changed her name for other reasons too.

She was talking about players out with Covid. Not players out with injuries.

Yeah well, I can definitely see similarities between Bayern/Barça terms he served. Not sure here, even if it's his final season, he would not get backed anywhere like he has at City. I don't think he's complained that.

If you're hinting that he's losing the dressing room, we can't be so sure just yet. We will find that out mid season if he's really off or if we're in shambles. I still believe it's down to not getting balance right, because almost every signing we've made has been because of Pep's needs, I think the players do feel they are in a bit of transition, part unlucky. The only player who's clearly frustrated is KDB, but I don't feel it's necessarily meaning bad for the dressing room (just yet), because they might just expect better of themselves, rightfully, one may say.

bollocks , so eric has played one so he is not match fit, neither is mahrez or most of the team, did we not have seven big players out , still out for most of them ?

Every one of your posts for years is slagging off the club regardless of the situation , you said all clubs are affected by covid so i ask for the third time , who else had three players out this season ?

We are shit at the moment and we need a left back but i can see why we are shit whereas you wont
