I would rather eat ants than watch Zinchenko, but I fear we may all be watching a lot of him by Christmas.

Ridiculous situation.
I think Cancelo can do a decent job at LB if he can replicate what he showed back end of last season. Crazy we haven't strengthened in that position but maybe thats what Pep is planning.

Utd signing Telles and Cavani. I’d have taken both of them at City.
Those two and Douglas Luiz would have solved a lot of problems, especially with the Chumps league coming thick and fast after the break
Thing is united then have to replCe Cavani next year and telles will end up like Emerson at Chelsea, they can’t get rid and will loan him out in 2 years
All there signings are shite panic signings and does more harm long term

Right or wrong I think the decision is based entirely on Zinchenko not moving and squad balance, morale.Wouldn't be surprised if we try again in January.

its almost as if the club deliberately avoids buying players we need
It’s almost like we are trying to be too cute, going out of our way to prove we can find cheaper alternatives that no one has thought of.....

Pay the flippin price for top shelf players or replace Txiki with Monchi and then you can buy all the rough diamonds.

still let’s not flap.... I have trust still in the club we have seen too much success and great days to doubt this management team.

ps: I do get the feeling more and more this is Pep’s last season ....natural organic end to the cycle. Sad but it’s life....

Have this nagging feeling Poch has been tied up already to replace Pep much like we did with Pep for Pellegrini.

In years past City have made it clear when the window is done and dusted for us.

All the journos have been briefed, with City saying incomings are "unlikely".

Leaving the door open...

Tagliafico would seem an easy deal to do, for a relatively low fee.

I think we'll spend the day trying to ship out Zinny.

Seems like a few rags and dippers are trying to cheer themselves up after yesterday by posting shite on here this morning.

Cancelo is better going forward than any of our fullbacks, he's superb. But if he plays there, then Pep has to organise the back 4 to play as a 3, because he just can't defend, at all. He sometimes gives the impression he can, but it is just an impression.

Well Mendy can't defend and offers nothing going forward so it would be an improvement.

That would be some acheivement considering he's played about 5 games for us. Not bad for 60 million. I'm presuming he's injured at the moment.

He has dropped an absolutely severe potentially game changing bollock in every game played, be it just becoming invisible when a winger runs at him in the box, or pissing around losing possession etc.

If I remember rightly, he helped the rags beat us. He was motm imo for Portugal recently & still almost cost them two goals.

Injured again I think.

and replaced Sane.
We did what? With who? Torres is decent but he'll never be as good as Sane, especially not in the next 3/4 years.

This window is heavily reliant on Laporte and Ruben forming a solid partnership. If Diaz struggles or either get injured we're in the shit. In just over 12 months we've lost Sane, Kompany and Silva - three huge players not just talent wise but personalities. We haven't replaced them with anywhere near their quality so if this transfer deadline day passes with no further signings then it will be a disappointing transfer window that promised so much a few weeks ago.

Sorry, I wasn't saying that Torres will necessarily be as good as Sane. Just pointing out that we signed a winger to replace the outgoing one.
