We cannot afford a season like last season mate . Say what you want about pep but 9 league games lost including 2 derby games And an absolute disgrace against Lyon is not good enough no matter who the manager is and what he has done in the past . If we carry on playing with he same tactics like we do at the moment then we will not win the league it’s as simple as this is now the hardest season pep has ever had and it will go be way or another. Pep doesn’t have to prove anything and if he was to walk away from then it will have been the best 5 years football we will ever see but we will move one and I’m sure more titles will follow .
Last chance for Messi is gone. If results go the wrong way over the next few weeks Pep will have to make up his mind quickly or it might be made up for him.How long do we keep chasing that particular shadow though? He's pushing 34 with a lot of miles on the clock and with every passing year those wages get harder to justify.
For the record I regard him as the best player to have ever kicked a football, but surely there's a tipping point where it becomes an unwise endeavour.
I was joking about potter by the way ha but arteta could be goodArteta would also be a good choice when he gets fed up with the boardroom politics at Arsenal.
Messi is the key for pep . If we go in for him then pep will commit as messi will not turn up without pep and vice a versa . For pep to stay though he needs to adapt though as he is not cutting it at the moment and doesn’t deserve another contract .
Time will tell fellaLarge amount of bollocks this.
Then he should tell the club so they start looking for replacements, this is massive for us, his future hanging in the balance is not a good look. Or the club should declare that it is indeed his final season. We should know better than to leave it late with such decisions, who cares what Pep's opinion is, ask him to make his mind up within a given time frame (which imo, should've been the summer window), should not work on his terms or only if he thinks he deserves a new contract. For pep to stay though he needs to adapt though as he is not cutting it at the moment and doesn’t deserve another contract .
It should be bollocks, Pep signing a new contract should NOT be dependent upon Messi possibly arriving.Large amount of bollocks this.

It seems so at least, that the amount of respect or regard for Pep is high to the extent where they've left it on him to make the decision of staying or leaving, and will decide what's next when he makes his mind up be it whatever stage of season. I just hope that's not the caseDo you really think the club are waiting around for pep to decide, on his terms?
If they were not confortanle (as khaldoon pointed out they were) with the situation, something would be getting done about it. And damn sure pep would be assisting with that, with the respect he has shown the club and board.
Agree, wish it Was concluded one way or the other, but it isn't as pressing a question as suggested. Not with everything going on.
Pep staying should be an absolute priority, it will be so hard to get a coach like him if/when he leavesPep has not lost his spark. Everyone is complaining about no fans in stadium. Yesterday he looked motivated and happy. I want pep to stay. nagelsmann can join in when his contract ends. Non of this poch stuff

Nearly everybody wants Pep to stay but the indecision that may be developing is not good. I suppose that is the luxury that a manager of the stature of Pep enjoys. Most managers live a hand to mouth existence with the exit door looming large and open.He has always maintained he would stay as long as the players want him to and then only if he has earned the right to stay.
He ras repeatedly said he loves Manchester and the people at the club.
I think an awful lot depends on results over the next few months. If they go our way and he feels the squad is on board then I think he will sign an extension, probably 2 years.
I really hope he does as the brand of football we have played under him is like nothing I have witnessed before.
Those who want the likes of Pochettino to replace him need to stop and look at exactly what each man has achieved in terms of success. I for one believe there’s no substitute for the experience, charisma and the draw for players to come to this club that Pep brings.
