Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

I'd rather have Leeds manager Bielsa if Pep doesn't renew. Of course I'd rather Pep renewed, but he will go to Italy eventually.

It's not my argument really, mine is that we don't have an opening, and it's quite likely we won't.

Pep won't discuss this subject with the media while we still have very important football matches to play, and that is exactly how it should be.

Sorry, I should have quoted the poster before me. I do not disagree with your point. I just don't understand why everyone has to be winning silverware at these clubs that are quite obviously not at the same level.

Can’t see pep staying after his contract tbh . Just think he will have run his course and will move on to the next challenge which I believe will be back at Barca . We have had some great seasons with pep and we will have great seasons with the next manager .

go on then. it's Saturday afternoon - are you talking about the scum or dippers.

I was making the point that those who state Poch will not get the job because of his lack of experience winning a trophy are wide of the mark as those running the club have already chosen Pep, with no first team mgmt experience, to manage arguably one of the three biggest clubs in world football over Mourinho who was decorated, at the time, as one of the top coaches.

If its the right fit, regardless of past success, we will go for him

Maybe if this transfer window goes excellently. And we get our targets etc....maybe he will stay longer.

I think Pep needs fresh faces to work with, players he knows he can improve and that can take the team to a new level. To keep him motivated.

Yeah and pep hasn’t built a second new team so that might motivate him to sign on for 3 more years.

Stop embarrassing yourself. Football sees Poch as a top class coach, if you cannot see it, that is your lack of understanding.

Poch is a top class manager, I don’t see how that is up for dispute. He also perfectly fits the profile of what we want in a manager.

That said, we currently have the best manager in the world. Pep is the Messi of management whereas Poch is the Aguero.

Pep will leave when he wants to, it will be on his terms. We are never going to get a manager on Pep’s level so whoever we bring in will be a step down.

Poch is certainly the best of that calibre of manager for me.
