No, really. Who’d have thought.

Finally the arguments of high/low/olden people only ‘death’ numbers is replaced by the nuance of the actual issue: hospitalisation, leading to massive strain and collapse of the service (and staff) ‘everyone’ takes for granted... when they actually require it for ‘everyday’ stuff, let alone covid.

Pathetic response as usual but expected. Ok here’s another one for you to ponder on them.... kids ok in schools, yet grassroots football stopped, same kids yet no outdoors, explain the decision the ‘experts’ have come up with there.
I run a kids team in Cheadle Hulme, 14 kids all from more or less the Cheadle Hulme area, if we play 14 kids from any other area there’s a risk of spreading infection between areas.
kids in school are generally in a bubble and closely monitored whilst there.
Our team consists of 4 schools, so again mixing and risking. Don’t get me wrong it is disappointing but a month or so we’ll get by.

So you answer isn’t protect the vulnerable, it’s protect some of the vulnerable. Who decides which vulnerable get protected and which vulnerable get sent to work mixing with the healthy people that are getting on as normal carrying it and spreading it, and risk catching it and dying.
Yes stop some people from dying

Lets leave its there. Stubborn old
Man.
A lot of "old" men and woman were asked at a very young age to go and fight for this country, and some in more recent troubles. Many were away for years and sadly, many didn't return, giving their tomorrow so you could have your today.

People today are being asked to wash their hands and sit on their sofas for a few weeks, and are up in arms about unfairness.

I suspect these are the same people who will Don a poppy over these next few weeks.

Dont lecture me. You know nothing about me.

I understand but that was not the point i was making , as i said another hysterial person on tv today was shouting suicide rates are soaring so i thought i would have a look , it is a myth that needs putting to bed along with some other things said by those who dont want lockdown

The other thing about home schooling , it has been a thing for ever , home schooled kids do just fine over many years , we are only doing it for a few months

'Just a few months' of home schooling a 9 year old, with a 2 year old running round, whilst holding down a full time job.

Yep its piss easy

Hang on, you are calling somebody else out for being hysterical.....

LOL

Quite right.
Not only that though there are 400,000 ‘children in need’ in this country with 15% of referrals due to having a dysfunctional family and 53% for child abuse. 80,000 child protection conferences and 52,300 with a child protection plan. I bet they’re getting home schooled to death......

I do wonder how much scrutiny and time these concerns are likely to get from the more hysterical amongst us. If ‘the science’ can seemingly so easily be discredited, that is not good because even those that have no faith in politicians but sheepishly claim that the science is the be all and end all will not even have that to cling on to.

This link from Oxford’s Centre for Evidence Based Medicine discusses too and is not too complimentary about SAGE models https://www.cebm.net/covid-19/the-innacuracoes-in-the-sage-models/

With this out of date graph stuff, SAGE are doing a stand up job in eroding public faith in expert science committees.

Oh, my days are always as positive as they can be. The fact you didn't know what I was on about gave me my answer. You too have a great day
You dodged my initial post with “why havent governments done that then”. Have an opinion of you own pal. Itll brighten your life up!
Then you started rambling, got a bit awkward to be honest.

but .. you let yourself down with your homophobic/homoerotic post. Not sure which it was, i guess only you know that.

have a great day counting your pension whilst the rest of us worry about earning a living.
