Rare Prog Rock Bands

Has anyone mentioned The Enid? Now that was a rare prog rock band! I had an album of theirs called "In the region of the summer stars" or something like that anyway. It was actually quite good.

Tangerine Dream were something else.
I also agree about The Enid and Parsons being mighty fine too. Introduced to both on the marvellous Friday Rock Show on Radio 1. I used to give all the Peel shite a wide berth Mon-Thurs but come 10pm Fridays that was the weekly chance to get a fix 2 hours of listening on FM Radio.
And Theme 1 by Van Der Graf Generator every week for the Friday Night Connection. I’ve tried searching for old recordings, but virtually nothing that I can see. Anyway, back to the tunes...

Tea.
Swiss band, saw them supporting some other band I can't recall at the Free Trade Hall mid 70s. Must have impressed as I bought their album at the time.
Singer is Marc Storace who went on to sing for hard rock band Krokus in the 80's.

Anyone else heard Welsh band “Magenta” ? Also enjoy Lifesigns, Glass Hammer and the wonderful and sadly defunct It Bites. Also Jem Godfrey’s “Frost*” are very good.

Gentle Giant, if only for "Proclamation”.

A group that went almost completely under the radar, inexplicably to me: Riff Raff.
Probably the proggiest of prog bands.
Never reformed but they still have a loyal band of followers.
The three brothers started out in music as Simon dupre and the big sound, they had a hit with the song called Kites

Dynamo Bliss
Amplifier
Ossicles
Freaky Jelly
Huis
Symphony X
Airbag

There's hundreds of great prog bands out there. Morow FM is the place to listen.
