So total UK deaths without out of hospital England numbers are today 370.

Last week it was actually 369 - so high as these numbers are you would have to say this was not a disaster to rise by just 1 in 7 days. The 7 days previously it had risen on the Saturday from 256 to 369.

That 369 last week became 413 on all settings later.
 
These numbers are high enough the lockdown is unlikely to be eased on December 2. I think it will be extended to just before christmas
 
Cases for the three nations today total 2562.

3 wks ago v 2 wks v last wk v today this is:

3680 v 3051 v 3077 v 2562 today - which is certainly going in the right direction.

From those 3077 after the England cases were added last Saturday there were 244, 957.

From 341, 392 pillar 1 & 2 tests.
 
Scotland 3 wks ago v 2 wks v last wk v today:

Deaths: 11 v 24 v 39 v 36 today

Cases: 1433 v 1101 v 1591 v 1118 today - not much sign of it doing much but having levelled off at over 1000.

Patients 985 v 1149 v 1245 v 1198 today - the levelling off and fall is heartening news but rising deaths are part of why. Though clearly numbers are not rising much apart from that.

Ventilated 85 v 80 v 106 v 92 today - this reduction is equally good with the same caveat as above.
 
England hospital deaths 3 wks ago v 2 wks v last wk v today

185 / 74 NW v 208 / 83 NW v 283 / 84 NW v 304 / 87 NW today

So the rise week to week fell from 36% last week to under 8% today.

And the NW % wk to wk to wk is 40 v v 39.9 v 29.7 % v 28.6 - so has slowly fallen.

Maybe more older people have conditions that wearing a mask is difficult ? Not excusing just practical idea
 
Wales 3 wks v 2 wks v last wk v today

Deaths 16 v 13 v 32 v 20 today - may be showing some early signs of control.

Cases 1324 v 1301 v 958 v 933 - slow but week to week falls.
 
N Ireland 3 wks v 2 wks v last wk v today

Deaths 6 v 11 v 15 v 10 today - again good signs of a plateau in N Ireland.

Cases 923 v 649 v 528 v 511 - the fall has stalled but is again looking like progress.

7 day rolling total fell from 5285 to 4007 last week and was 3880 yesterday and is likely within a few of that given the case numbers are very similar since.

Patients 309 v 346 v 391 v 422 today - not a great sign of a modest week to week rise changing.

Ventilated: 27 v 41 v 45 v 39 today - but same caveat about the deaths impacting this I say every day.

I hope the opposite. It's proven there was no need to go out of tier 3. GM should go back to tier 2 at the start of December, shouldn't be ruining Xmas over this.

Think of all the parents who won't be able to enjoy a proper last Xmas with kids that still believe. You might not have kids but these years don't last long and are prescious.
 
England 304 deaths in hospital in detail:

13 Nov adds 61 = 61 after 1 day. (Last week 55 added) 61 is most added to the first day since 1 May.

12 Nov adds 164 = 215 after 2 days. (Last week 115 added). 215 is the highest death total at 2 days since 30 Apr.

11 Nov adds 51 - = 208 after 3 days. (Last week 62 added).

10 Nov adds 13 = 240 after 4 days. (Last week 20 added) 240 is the highest total at day 4 since 1 May.

9 Nov adds 13 = 287 after 5 days. (Last week 6 added). 287 is the highest number of deaths at day 5 since 29 April - another day back towards the point we had the most deaths on one day in England.

The other 2 deaths were added to 8 Nov (now 239) and 6 Nov (now 223).

Well not all would agree. If you have young children it can be magical. Also some have elder parents and this may be their last Christmas. For them spending time with their kids/grandkids means the world to them.

Real life is a bit more important than some made up magic of xmas bullshit.
I’m sure parents can be smart enough blag any kid who still believes. That’s what we do, improvise.
This idea we should all forget the hard work and sacrifices of the last 10 months so we can all have a blowout for two weeks in December, potentially causing another spike that takes us through the early parts of next year, is batshit crazy.
We all want normality but until everybody complies and respects the rules it’s not going to happen and we will be stop starting our lives until a vaccine is released.
