Said it for months now. And said it on here a few times. He just doesnt save enough shots.
Bravo was slaughtered for his shots to saves ratio but ederson has seemed to get away with it ...
It just happens to many times.
1 shot 1 goal.
Great passer ...yes.
Great keeper ...no.

I’d say his keeping has stepped up a notch this season. He’s been making great saves at key moments in games where he hasn’t in the past.

Totally ignoring when a Son went past him but his heavy touch took him wide. He may as well stay on his line if he’s going to come out and doesnt get a touch the ball

But Ederson’s run out made Son have a heavy touch. If he stayed on his line (which no ’keeper does) Son would have been through on goal.

He was nowhere near getting to the ball, it was poor goalkeeping

It isn't about staying on your line but about sprinting out at top speed rashly, come out narrow the angle and make yourself big.

Blatantly, what he did twice yesterday didn't work and only gave the shooter an easy option which they took both times.

This is my point, no one is against coming out of your goal and reducing the likelihood of the opposition attacker scoring. In yesterday's case, both Son and Lo Celso had harder finishes if he just stayed closer to his line. Cancelo and KDB put pressure on their attackers or could have even recovered, but Ederson made up Son's and Lo Celso's minds for them.

I do think Mourinho had planned for this. There's a very small gap between our defence and Ederson that is a bit too far out for Ederson to properly handle and the 1st goal and the later Son chance were all about exploiting that.

The 2nd goal was more on Ederson, I think he's gambled and lost on that one.

Great with his feet and on the ball, distinctly average when it comes to making match winning saves. Hasn't saved a pen since Palace away nearly 2 years ago.
We should give Stefan a run in the first team, he might actually make some saves.

He is a sweeper , he doesnt stay on his line , he is perfect for us and yes he does make saves
