An early morning what?

I look after my 87 year old Dad (cooking, shopping, running him around, no pay!!) so take any preventative aid offered. I have had Covid recently and thankfully I didn't spread to my Dad, he should be in the first group of vaccine recipients and I will be in the 6th priority list but as I have the antibodies I'm really relaxed about it, however I would urge everyone to get the vaccine ASAP, not just for themselves but for others they come into contact with, it's a no brainer and a game changer.Same here. I was a full time carer for 14 years so have had the flu jab (and pneumonia one every few years) for over 20 years. Including this year. A mildly sore arm for 24 hours maximum (or both arms when I had the two last year) is the most I have ever experienced. Though often not even that.
I think if you expect it to make you ill then it will because part of all illness is psychosomatic.
Its also a myth the flu jab can give you sniffles. It has no live virus in it. The thing is people have it at the exact time of year when sniffles are becoming common and you normally never give them a second thought as they last a day or so and go away. There are bound to be people who have the two things within days by complete coincidence and would have had the sniffles without the jab.
Now that all these Covid news stories are focusing minds this false belief will create many many more stories of coincidence = conspiracy from those who have read them this year I suspect.
Not saying this about any of the posters here. But we know it will happen because people are expecting it to out there - so it will and Twitter etc will be full of scare stories with little basis in reality.
You mean 'A what?'An early morning what?

So true, I' experienced pretty much the same with my mum who died a couple of years ago. I take my hat off to full time carers, they are real heroes who put their lives on hold to look after others. Until experiencing a degree of being a carer no one can know how difficult life is, I'm lucky, my Dad has his faculties but that doesn't stop him being a cantankerous old bugger!!I agree 100%. I looked after my mum after she had a huge stroke and was unable to move and so needed round the clock care. But her fortitude pulled her through after many months in hospital and lots of adjustments to my house so we could cope. And she was able to enjoy all those extra years which looked impossible the day she had the stroke.
You probably have to have been in that situation as you were to understand how your own behaviour can impact others.
Though my mum did not live to see Covid she was in her 90s when she died a couple of years back and it has certainly crossed my mind what it would have been like. I know it would have been very scary. So it has made me far more willing to comply with rules and self isolation was something I knew how to do from those years.
There will be so many people out there - unpaid carers - facing these dilemmas. It is easy to forget them when your life is just focused on how it disrupts what you can do.
wankersThe selfishness of people knows no bounds. Heard this weekend of one couple having people around for food and then visiting elderly parent next day for lunch whilst another person who has only just buried one of his parents who had covid has decided to invite people around for a NYE party. Another couple going away to Wales with people from three other households. But they will want to be first in the queue for a vaccine when it's their turn. Astonishing behaviour from all.
Yes and probably the ones with most money to spend in them.
I agree, but I think it's a good idea.everyone is going to have to one or pre tested before flying out on business or holiday, maybe even holiday in the UK also,Gove suggested that this isn't being used as an "immunity passport". However Zahawi mentioned it's likely pubs, restaurants and other entertainment venues may request as proof. Pretty shit for those who are at the back of the queue..
And from our labour supporters on this forumDrakeford has been getting a pretty soft ride from the media so far. It will be interesting to see if that changes now.
