Fair enough if he backs himself again to work his way into the team - he’s proved us wrong before when he decided to stay with a great offer from Wolves on the table.

However, I think it’s a step too far this season with the players he now has ahead of him. I feel this will just end in him going out on loan in January because he can’t get any minutes.

Would love him to prove me wrong though as I do really like Zinny. I do still think there’s an opportunity for him in the double pivot role, but I think Pep is too wedded to certain players for him to be given a shot there.

He is not a bad player his problem is he cannot concentrate for 90+ minutes. It looks obvious from the mistakes he keeps making that he is sometimes less than aware of the situation.

Something, maybe Cancelo apart, our fullbacks seem to have in common.

Saying that,i still believe we should have experimented with at DM,there has been plenty of opportunity, and he's at least on a par with others that are given that responsibility.

Ultimately though,he really should have taken Nuno's offer.

I’d like to see him at LB tucking into DM like Delph used to

Would need someone left footed on the LW though hugging the touch line

He's a great lad with a great attitude. Unfortunately he's not good enough, not at left back or in midfield. Sure he will be ok against the likes of Fulham but against anyone with pace or anyone who's decent then he exposed as a make shift left back.

For the level we want to get to we have to do better.

We should cash in, 20m would be a good price for him. Should reinvest that money in Theo Hernandez in the summer. Brilliant LB. Would open up a foreign spot for Messi too, if we could get him in january

Selling Zinchenko frees up a space on our panel but not on our team.
20m would be an appropriate sum.
If we want to sign a first choice left back then it is Mendy who has to go.

I would be surprised as that’s one area where we are already well covered with Marcal, Ait-Nouri and Jonny on his way back.

Out of interest, could you see Podence making a 'step up' if we were to show an interest? By 'step up' I mean no offence and simply mean not joining us to become a squad player but someone who could actually be an automatic starter in the CL games.

A decent player who deserves to be playing first team football.

Hopefully a transfer comes about that benefits him and the club
