Early in the aftermatch Evra actually stated that it was a penalty but he wasn’t sure until he seen the other angle.

Yet it wasn't given against one of the red shirts.
That's given 100% at the other end if the boot was on the other foot and everyone knows it.

I don't agree with him 100% of the time but he's always objective.

Think I actually got off fairly lightly from my comments...so many thanks folks.
As was mentioned about Souness & The Sun but also, whilst he may be objective, I tend to disagree with him most of the time.
I have to agree with you about the majority of the ex Liverpool players acting as pundits. The exception being Murphy who I actually rate, but the rest I will give a miss to and often will change channel to get a different pundit / co-comm. Particularly if it is Owen...he really can send you to sleep (Similar to Warnock)

You tend to disagree with Souness ? Really I think he is the best ex liverpool pundit by a country mile.
I don't always agree with him of course but most of the time he is fair.
When I dont agree with him its more like a disagreement with a mate, whereas the other ex liverpool pundits just talk absolute crap to arse lick the liverpool fans. I normally want to give them a slap !

There was a point in their game at the weekend where two of their players made contact with each other and both went down dramatically. Commentators didn’t mention anything but the whole thing is looking just ridiculous now

Souness is widely regarded as one of the most credible and well respected pundits out there yet you have said that you disagree with him most of the time.
I think you'll find you're in the minority with your opinion of him not only on here but with fans of other clubs too.
Is it because he doesn't pander to the Dipper narrative like the countless clueless ex Dippers who are only employed because of their ties to the cult?
Although he's better than the likes of Warnock and ex- Everton fans Spit, McPointy and The Chester Bore, Murphy is basically another cultist sycophant who struggles to hide his bias.
A few years back my mates Dad who isn't a blue said that the football media is basically the Liverpool Mafia when the likes of Hansen and Lawrenson were on air and it's even worse now.
Woe betide anyone in the media who dares criticise the cult as they may be called a twat by the cult members.
It could be worse though as Colin Mafham will tell you.
