The Conservative Party

What? They were sold as part of our membership of the EU - of a trading bloc the one thing that Leave thinks was good about the old Common Market !! Furthermore is we are going to be a strong independent trading maritime nation this is precisely what will happen - its trade... free trade unless it offends nationalistic sensibilities over odd tiny parts of the economy - ha ha ha taking back control.
You try buying French quota.
Not a chance. Violating EU rules? Yes. Are they fined? No.

Its Wednesday - imagine not being able to recall what you had at your big Christmas Party...sorry business meeting....on Tuesday. Then imagine in those circumstances you think you are fit for public office

It’ll be along the lines of “We need to reduce foreign aid” or “We give significant financial support to UNICEF, so it’s nice to get some back.”

You know how it goes - someone will claim we give UNICEF £350M a week and put it on the side of a bus - we will have a BREXITUNICEF referendum and Marcus Rashford will end up having to fund raise to feed poor kids in the UK whilst Dominic Cummings get a £40k a week pay rise.....

Looks as though Priti was a bit vacant on Sky this morning.
Reckons families can mix with three other families over Xmas whereas in fact the three mixing rule includes your own family.
She's so Priti oh so Priti ......
( points mic at audience).

It was terrible wording, and could definitely be interpreted wrongly. It's probable that some say "meeting with 3 households" includes your own, but surely it is not difficult to say "a maximum of 3 households can meet in one place"?

The need to start every sentence with 'well' or 'so', and the one syllable pleece (police) does my head in, as does the fallback to repetitive meaningless words.

It’s unbelievable that someone so intellectually deficient holds that office of state. Plus, she’s utterly malign.

Can't wait to hear the excuses for this.

As emotive as the headline is it amounts to a £25k grant to a London food charity to supply a limited number of breakfasts to local families there. Hardly unaffordable for the UK.

If you want to call this a failure then it won’t be a failure of support from central government but, if anything, a failure support from local government (Labour in this case). But we don’t really know the details here, is this charity being supported already by the local authority? Did they apply for additional funding and get turned down? Why? And so on and so forth. UNICEF were clearly then approached by them
to support their work through a charitable/grant donation rather than UNICEF spotting some sort of humanitarian disaster unfolding.

There are obviously many tangent issues such as is the money being provided by central government to local government to support their responses sufficient or is the benefit system too slow/complex/insufficient but this is attention grabbing of the highest order.

I do like the word malign.

It seems she got annoyed when challenged that not being in security arrangements was a bad thing, and resorted directly to rhetoric about being the best in the world. It is clearly doctrine that there are no downsides to anything they do, even when there are obviously downsides to what they do.
