Go on I'll bite. Gundog and Raz had point blank headers on Tuesday. Bernardo had two yesterday.
What was most impressive about Liverpool was that most of their seven goals came from half chances. I can't remember City scoring many half chances this year, we always need to walk it into the net. Let's be honest Liverpool's strikers, especially Mane and Salah, are better than ours these days. If we had Mane we would be top of the league. That's the difference a great striker makes (and Sergio used to do it for us) Given the chances yesterday Liverpool would have beaten Southampton by at least four goals.
We won't improve if we keep deluding ourselves. The good news is we now have the best defence in the PL (better than Liverpool) and that's a good start.

Mane has scored exactly the same amount of club goals as Sterling this season although Manes include friendlies. Sterling has also scored in an international which Mane hasn’t.

He has also played less minutes than Mane. 78 less in the league.

Surely thats the problem.
Sterling is the clubs top scorer and Mane is not Liverpools
Why would you even compare them.

Just checked Mane has scored more goals than Sterling once in the previous seasons. And despite being in rancid form Sterling is keeping pace with him this season..

So u wanna tell us That Sterling is as Good as Mané? You can’t be serious. Mané is literally better in all aspects. Sterlings goals are mostly tap-ins.
I prepare for incoming hate.

In my eyes the previous three seasons.. yes Sterling was slightly better. This season he is not in form at all but neither is nearly the entire squad yet he’s on a par with Mane in terms of effectiveness.

Yes he always misses sitters and will most likely continue to do so but as for the tap in claim.. he’s simply better at putting himself in that position than anyone else in the league and has been for a few seasons. It’s a gift he has.. not a gift given to him.

Yesterdays winner was a prime example of this. Rewatch it.. and look at Sterlings movement.. three players in the box.. both Bernie and Torres do the obvious and try to get behind the Saints defenders.. Sterling reads the space, checks his run to create space... allowing Kev to cut back.

You are wrong mate. Once he gets over this bump in his career he will revert back to scoring one in two easy chances as opposed to one in 4 and will return to being one of the most effective forwards in Europe. He will never be a “just needs one chance” forwards like Aguero. He is what he is but his movement in the box is second to none.

I wouldn’t include the headers as it’s never as easy to score with your head as it is your foot.

Bernardo’s yesterday was the closest but if you look at it he didn’t quite have the space and time that Firmino had.
