It’s certainly not good. And it’s doubling every 6 days, whilst Boris is refusing to put us into national lockdown. North West is between 2 and 3 weeks behind London, so we will soon have the figures that they have now.
If there saying a few days, most will think 2-3days,but as you say 6 days,
Is still pretty fking scary, for the majority lockdown hopefully will halt it.
But the fkwitts will just carry on as like there's nothing to worry about.
Was driving later on lastnight just outside Portsmouth
A fking garden party in full swing,at a quick glance maybe 50/60 people..
For people heading home for xmas from the south, hopefully thr north dont get the spike but I fear it will,
Dont want to think what January February figures are going to be,after the festive season..

World Health Organisation Europe

"increased preventive measures are critical "

Note that England has not done this for the majority of the country

Yeah, it’s definitely coming our way. The strain is already up north, it’s just in the early days of spreading. You can see below how every region is now on an upward curve. London and the South East are just further along. Around 3 weeks ahead.

Whilst there have been a lot of rule breakers, Matt Wancock was a tosser on Sunday when he was lamenting people leaving London on trains. His govt was the root cause of that fiasco when they decided to leave it until Saturday evening to make the announcement.
Completely agree,
Ever year the media show train station ( London)with people trying to get home,
For xmas,
So yeah this wanker should off known especially with this pandemic,
Then as you say blaming people for making there (panic)decision at the last minute to pile on trains packed to the hilt,
Would I have done the same,no not in this situation,
Because off his inept decision the threat of the virus spreading on such a confined space is deplorable..

Its unbelievable how it dipped, then shot up so extremely.

Can anyone confirm that the virus has already had around 4,000 mutations / strains already and this is just another one. Maybe if people decided to socially distance, wear masks, wash hands etc then maybe. just maybe the virus wouldn't be so contagious. Just a thought after nine months of watching people behave like utter cockwombles

if it wasn't for the media the NHS would have collapsed by now
I dont no how you come to that conclusion.mate.
When clapping for the NHS,
There were illegal raves going on around the country with thousands in attendance, besides other fkwitts disregarded the rules.

There have been hundreds of mutations, exactly how many I have no idea.
A single point mutation is rarely significant, but this new one has 17, and the concern was that several are in the spike protein which the three vaccines to date are focussed on.

You can't translate two curves horizontally if they have different growth functions, and make any reasonable conclusions. The London/South East populations are growing with a different exponent than the North West. We used to do this with UK, Italy, Spain etc but that was like with like. It's no longer like with like.

The London curve is frightening. You can see in the London curve for example that they went from 200/100k to 400/100k in less than 6 days which is why it's so important to confirm that the vaccines are still effective.

Boris Johnson said that the UK would not alter its vaccine strategy. They might think again. Can you ignore a cluster on the edge of London without changing vaccination strategy? Perhaps it depends on the success of Tier 4 in containing growth

I think that if/when the Oxford vaccine is approved they will maintain the national plan regarding ages and risk profile but there could be additional vaccination in this area?
