Erling Haaland

Because his agent wanted him at a stepping stone club first, every club in the world would have stumped up the 20m it cost Dortmund, it wasn't an option for anybody.

The chances are if he signs for us then in 4 or 5 years, it will be 'Real' as the next port of call.

People said Sergio would move on to Real or Barca but he never did.

I am not having that. The only players we sell are those either surplus to requirements or not integrating properly into our team, it is only under one of those circumstances Haaland would hypothetically leave us (should he hypothetically join us of course).

In addition la Liga is losing its grip on world football so in four years time it may well be English clubs cherry picking their best players.

It's simply not true. If Haaland were to be at City, he would leave once he decides to. Veratti has been at PSG for 8 years now because he's happy where he is. Raiola doesn't say anything his clients don't want him to say. If Haaland is unhappy at City then, yes, Raiola will make noise and he would move. But that's on the player.

I had been thinking due to Stones' reemergence this season that 3 CB's and wing backs could possibly work with our personnel if we added a bigger striker. A lineup of:

Ederson, Laporte, Stones, Dias, Mendy, Rodri, De Bruyne, Foden, Cancelo, Jesus, Haaland

would be incredible. Though we do have a fair amount of wingers for this to work.

Sane was neither of thse examples and City didn't want to sell him.
Garcia, lesser player but also won't sign a new deal.
Sancho, same.
Milner also refused a new contract and then left.

So it simply isn't true about us not letting players leave if we want them to stay.

The first part is true the 2nd part is hypothetical, you give an example of one player as loyal, give me 10 or more and then I would agree that Raiola doesn't hawk his clients around and of course, we do understand that this is also on the player, we aren't stupid. YAYA and his agent are the perfect example of it.

None of those players were playing regularly enough. I did not say we wanted any of them to leave because we didn’t but as squad players not as regular first team players. Having such roles was not enough for them and that is fair enough, a big factor in Sancho and Sane was attitude and that is an integral part of team integration.

All had deals on the table fella, now stop arguing and go and enjoy Xmas day :)

If haaland is happy here and doesn’t want to leave then he won’t go. If his dream was to play for Real Madrid then fair enough, sane also moved to Bayern. But raiola doesn’t move haaland if he is happy here and wants to stay. Your talk of raiola moving his clients around is rubbish, which of his clients does he hawk around ?

Okay then so why did no other club get a chance of signing Haaland for the 20m fee he went to Dortmund for?

Are you seriously telling me nobody would have jumped at the chance of signing him for 20m?

Blatantly Dortmund have/are being used as a stepping stone, if you think that is rubbish that is your opinion.

Raiola is noted as a troublesome agent, I didn't invent it, if you want an example look across the road, whether Pogba is telling him to do it is another point altogether but it is Riaola's name bandied about in the quotes.

But of course, it is hardly worth getting your knickers in a twist about it on Xmas day when it is unlikely even to begin with.

Good chance they want Gundogan I suggest
That's a good shout. He is exactly what they need to help a revival and it would be a move back to his family. That said I am one of Gundo's fans and believe he has done a fantastic job for City in his time here.
Haaland mind you is something else. A brilliant world-class striker and they don't grown on trees. I wonder how City will manage the Raiola situation though. I think there will be a few media gagging clauses in any contract!

He's the one I'd put my money on for sure, I like him myself despite the haters on here. For what it's worth, Transfermarkt has him down as worth £36million, throw in Braaf (if they're remotely interested) plus £70million cash and that should seal the deal?
