Everton (A) | Game Postponed

I apologise too for my harsh response.

I've a mate who's suffering long term Covid and his way to deal with it is to take the piss out of it. Guess that's rubbed off on me.
Really sorry to hear that about your mate.
Hope he recovers soon.
Take care fella.

Everton fan here (again).

I'm rather relieved we aren't playing.

Our lads get a chance to recover properly for West Ham on Friday (West Ham also have Southampton away tomorrow). We will also have James and Richarlison back.

Our rearranged match should also be when we have the likes of Digne and Allan back, so there is a possibility we will be back to full strength.

We also don't have Europe to contend with, so a midweek fixture later in the season shouldn't be an issue for us.

Yep and that’s the sensible way of thinking I would of rather played Everton tonight because you have good players missing.

Imagine we turned up tonight with positive staff members in the squad, passed it on to someone like Ancelotti who ended up in ICU or in the death stats in 2 weeks? The postponement is responsible and proportional and all the news coverage should be wishing us well and thanking us for following the protocols properly, but no. Bitter malevolent cunts.

Do these fuckwits not get it? It’s nothing to do with whether we could field a team or not

The bubble has been compromised so there is a high possibility any player playing tonight could be COVID positive and pass it onto anybody who happened to come near
They won't read the truth it's to hard for the idiots

Totally agree mate. I fancied us to win comfortably tonight because of your injuries and because we could probably rotate our squad to better effect. Most probably will be a different story when it is played, whenever that night be

just a shame that more people can’t see through all the bullshit like you and persist with the ludicrous accusations of us not fancying it and manipulating a nice winter break etc

We may have an awful President, stupid voters, Fox News and its horrifying brethren, be fans of the NFL and NASCAR, still have all sorts of wealth inequality and racial injustice problems, crumbling infrastructure, an insufferable attitude about being the "world's policeman", have a gauche culture, no cuisine and great swaths of the nation dry and uninhabitable . . . but we don't have a journalist as fucking worthless as this bubbling rectum.
Love that

Seriously??!!

Slimy Si really is the fuckwits fuckwit. Probably wears his shirt collar up like French thug. On the plus side Slimy could create his own "tribute " for Slur's horse spunk whilst 'writing ' his online wankjobs......

I was looking forward to the game, but expected more positive covid cases in the squad after the initial outbreak. Let's hope all the players have a speedyand full recovery. Football should not be played in a pandemic and I don't expect the season to finish as other clubs have similar outbreaks.

It’s the BBC, no better than the Star or Sun.
Another strange tweet by Simon Stone. I wonder if he was given that line by someone at Everton or just decided to put it out himself to try and imply there has been something dishonest in the Premier League decision to call off the match. It is a very strange phrase to use.

Cue Sky posting the team we could have fielded together with the transfer fees. Ask Ancelloti if he'd want the game to ahead. I'm sure he's as pleased as anything that the potential risk of him and his family and his club getting the virus has been reduced as a result of the postponement.

Sunds bad. Where did you read that?

In the Guardian in numerous reports over the last week.
They don’t think that it’s any more lethal than the initial strain but they deduce from the numbers behind the sudden surge in cases that the rate of transmission is 70% higher.
The government guidelines (2m apart, wear mask, wash hands, don’t go to see your gran etc.) were never designed to keep people safe, they were designed to reduce the level of transmission so that the health system didn’t collapse due to the number of cases.
If the experts are right about the new variant then, to my mind, the measures taken to contain the rate of spread should be revisited and adjusted accordingly.
