Maybe more will with the new more contagious variant. It's rife in London which is now in lockdown and London teams are travelling and mixing their sweat and spit all over the country. Sounds risky to me.

Have you noticed that when COVID was spreading rapidly up here, it was because of our behaviour, but now that it’s spreading rapidly atround London, it’s because it’s a new strain?

In terms of the fixture that's a blow to us, we would have been facing a depleted and tired Everton giving us a significant advantage but it can't be helped.

From a logistics perspective it couldn't happen to a Worse team in the league. We're already a game behind, we're in the carabao semi final and have European football in February it's going to leave an unprecedented fixture pile up towards the end of the season and I suspect the club will be strongly against and look to take action if we're forced into playing 4 games a week for a few weeks which could very well be the case.

This is only the beginning. New even more contagious strain plus games every two days, not enough time to trace or return effective results. This will spread through the league I expect.
no way can this season be expected to finish on the stated date.
