He’s made of glassI actually can’t believe we didn’t move for Thiago. He’s unbelievable
Wouldn’t say he is overhyped though . If he is overhyped at the moment what would say sterling and foden are because at present they are nowhere near grealish on form .Overhyped , cheat , i could go on but cant be bothered , just lol
Unless of course you sign them as part of the groupAlso on this subject, we/English teams might struggle snapping up talent from Europe after brexit, as work permit issues may well be similar
Not as simple as that tho, that might give us the advantage of first dibs, but, they wouldn't be classed as academy trained, for example, braaf will have trained at the club for 3 years and be classed as homegrown in accordance with cl/prem rules. Under new rules we wouldn't have been able to sign him in the first place.Unless of course you sign them as part of the group
Would they need a work permit to play for the academy? With the new Brexit rules we cannot sell or buy any U 18 players for City from outside UK.
I assume our plan is to buy them for a CFG team and transfer them when they are 18. Not sure if this is a loophole.
The new ruling would have meant we could not have transferred Sancho to Dortmund until he was 18.
My understanding is that the only players in the academy from now on cannot be from outside UK excepting Irish.Would they need a work permit to play for the academy?
Without having to look up all their names the most prominent we bought without work permits were
Gabriel Jesus. Had to stay with his club as he had no work permit at the time. Was lucky enough to get it as Brazil played a load of internationals in a short period of time.
Zac Steffen Had to go on loan until this season until he built up the required points.
Marlos Moreno Went on several loans and is still on one. If he had been able to come to City when he was bought might be a totally different situation with him
Enes Unal. Again similar to Moreno. Several loan spells in which I believe he did fairly well.
Both Marlos Moreno and Enes Unal were bought by City , not CFG.Luiz is the only player we have had work permit issues with.
How did Chelsea get away with spending that this summer?Haaland and Grealish alone would cost us 200m
Saved up, from their ban, and the Hazard money. How did Chelsea get away with spending that this summer?
Does saving up apply under ffp?Saved up, from their ban, and the Hazard money.
Losses are calculated over a 3 year rolling period, so if they didn't spend they they can lose money the year after. Of course it may mean they have less to spend in the next 2 years, when the no spend year drops out of the 3 year period.Does saving up apply under ffp?
I mean you have to make a profit to save up surely?
Grealish,Bissouma and Haaland.Grealish, douglas luiz and Haaland.
will be very good summer.
Gundo and sterling are going no where
Sterling still has two and a half years left on his current deal I believe. Might be wise to wait and see how this season goes before offering him a new one as I don't think he's played particularly well for a long time now. Our attack could do with a complete refresh imo.Aye. Raz is getting a new deal along with Kev. His future is with us.
