Couldn't help but think that if, as Dermott Gallagher said, Michael Oliver was in the perfect position to see the Pogba dive, how did it get it wrong?

It's the timing of Mendy's indiscretion. Just as we have cancelled a game and 5 players have covid makes it seem worse. Having said that this country has been so flaky about rules throughout the covid outbreak I would be surprised anyone new the rules. Dominic Cummings set the trend.Just in case you were not aware that Premier League players have broken the Covid rules, the Telegraph have an article showing the Spurs West Ham players, at the side they also picture (and name) 8 more. The list includes 3 City players (of course it does) and it informs you how they broke the rules.
To the best of my knowledge none of them caught the virus as a result of them breaking the rules unlike Salah who surprisingly isn't named or mentioned in any way.
2 Spurs players are named and shamed because they trained together. If only they had gone to a party in another country with 100 others.
What you need to consider is the type of fan those Liverpool and United 'fans' are – they are predominantly the plastic fans from overseas they pander to, because selling the PL to asia is where the big money is for them... you also then have to realise the ad revenue brought in by Sky as a conseqence.I was thinking the same myself about The Sly Business Model and their pandering to plastic Rags and Dippers at the expense and detriment to everyone else.
Most fans I know don't follow either of these clubs and are sick of their biased drivel and are walking away in their droves.
There are so many alternatives out there to watch live football all of which are cheaper with commentators and pundits that are far superior to the likes of Tyler, Ratboy and Spit.
If they're not careful they will end up like football broadcasting equivalent to Woolworths or Debenhams.
If they did I for one wouldn't shed a tear.
Great post. I find this policy of sucking up to a minority of fans incredibly stupid.SKY are definitely struggling despite having a potentially huge captive audience in lockdown. They are losing out to other services and their strategy of trying to attract Liverpool and United fans is not working. I have always argued that the vast majority of football fans do not follow United and Liverpool. Those clubs have big fanbases but are still outnumbered by the rest so SKY Sports have just alienated a huge chunk of their fanbase.
Mark E Smith would be proud of that line.Arron Scholes, Paul Scholes, all the Scholes - Arse holes.
And with all the yank owned clubs now let’s fast forward a few years to the all new NFL style Premier League.sky has got worse since the yanks invested in it, pushing gridiron, net ball and rounders who cares but it's on their network so push it
ExactlySnide Sammy never ever even wrote a piece with he possibility of City having a case.
You have only highlighted Mendy's indiscretion and said it was the timing. What about the 2 Spurs players, 5 months ago? Training together, really, is that worse than Salah partying in a foreign country and catching the virus? Walkers was in the first lock down as well, let's be right about this, certain players and clubs are immune from criticism by the lickspittle gutter press. It's the timing of Mendy's indiscretion. Just as we have cancelled a game and 5 players have covid makes it seem worse. Having said that this country has been so flaky about rules throughout the covid outbreak I would be surprised anyone new the rules. Dominic Cummings set the trend.
Wrong?Couldn't help but think that if, as Dermott Gallagher said, Michael Oliver was in the perfect position to see the Pogba dive, how did it get it wrong?
Has the Telegraph now succumbed to Qatar investment? They seem to be writing a lot more snide City stories lately. Here is another beauty from the telegraph. Oliver Brown's opening lines in his match report....
'it used to be a standing joke, the lengths to which Pep Guardiola, backed by Abu Dhabi' s BOTTOMLESS sovereign wealth fund would go to reinforce Manchester City's strength in depth....
(I capitalised it)
In case you are wondering, no I didn't buy the paper, Mrs Mist got it free when shopping, that is how desperate they are, they give it away.

I dont know but you are right about the snidey remarks, in the same article he states...Has the Telegraph now succumbed to Qatar investment? They seem to be writing a lot more snide City stories lately.
Numb as a piss stone. Not listening to what Pep actually said but instead taking Rob Harris’s version as gospel
Sam Lee is a snide tw@t!
I have no problems with rags covering our games, get well soon Stuart.
Yep they are actually baiting abuse so they can then play the victim cardThis trollop is desperate for some attention from our fans, it’s proper sad lol.
Sounds like a well balanced opinion from Pep to be honest, says it’s wrong but acknowledges that many other people have done this over Christmas and New Year. What is incorrect or wrong about that statement?
Rob Harris, with his typical goading, so when someone tells him to shut the fuck up moaning about City he can start crying about what a victim he is. Getting a tad boring now, what with how transparent it is.
Without a shadow of doubt. I think many of these clickbait journalists suffer from a serious defect of the mind. I think they have to, in order to exist and thrive in that world.Yep they are actually baiting abuse so they can then play the victim card
Dipper fans like this !Yep they are actually baiting abuse so they can then play the victim card
