“The work of God”?

So all the people who believe in God are weak and should be pitted because of their beliefs and everyone else is right in their beliefs he never existed. Even though most people pray to the almighty when are loved ones are ill or dying.

just because lot of people do something doesn't mean its correct or right or if its true
and in all cases its ignored so it must be a bit of t**t

Do you have so little faith that a few commemts here cause you constination.

Correct.

Being mildly "religious", for example believing in God but never wasting your time with rubbish like going to Church, praying etc, may be harmless enough.

But anyone going beyond that is wasting their life on nonsense, and that is deserving of pity IMO. You only get one life and wasting it on a lie, is a big shame. And if the bug really gets you and you end up being a monk or something (or a terrorist) then that takes it to a whole different level.

The world would be a whole load better a place if we got rid of this mumbo jumbo altogether.

If your god is Omnipotent, Omniscient & Omnipresent, then he knows everything, and everyone's life is pre-ordained. Praying is merely a desperate plea to get him/her to change his/her mind.

What if it's pre-ordained because of knowledge of our own deeds/prayers etc. ?
Pre-ordained and omni-potent are contradictions. An entity is not omni-potent if it can't change anything.

(OT, I am firmly of the belief (based on scientific inference, not blind faith) that everything is pre-ordained and that the future already "exists", merely that we cannot perceive it yet. But that is another discussion altogether.)

It's not a contradiction. If God doesn't change His will in certain matters, it doesn't mean He cannot. It's like asking the question, can God lie ? God doesn't lie doesn't contradict His omnipotency. He can, but He will not.

It's a load of bollocks, that's what it is.

"The work of Cod" is just as likely.

I'm surprised in this day and age that people actually still believe there is a god, everyone is entitled to their beliefs , but surely it can be proved the bible was a fairytale and no one has ever proved there WAS a god.

You evidently don’t need proof...just blind faith that in most cases contradicts scientific knowledge and what we know about the world/universe today, versus what uneducated folk knew about the world/universe when they wrote respective books proclaiming miracles.
