We've had more covid deaths in the last 24 hours than Australia have had during the entire pandemic

Things like this will happen this week, dont think it’s a big deal, if it’s happening in a week or so still then that is a different story.

I'm fine with there being teething issues, as long as they are minor and fixed (as you say).

I do not see any excuse for GPs not knowing why they aren't being given some; the Health Secretary going to one without it for a promo (does no-one check?).

Birmingham writing to express concerns suggests they are not being kept informed either.

That is all basic stuff - keep the people on the ground up to date!

Wales has so far achieved the lowest vaccination rate of any of the four nations. According to today's report from the BBC:

The figure in Wales means that approximately only 1.56% have been vaccinated up to 3 January - fewer than other UK nations - and the gap appears to be growing compared to last week.

The GP surgery visited by the health secretary to mark the expanded rollout of the Oxford/AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine has not yet received any of it.

Because there has never been a roll out lke this. It started on Monday straight after new year. Teething trouble after a couple of days aren't a sign that nothing was planned,problems a week or so down the line would be. We aren't there yet but the fact we are ahead of most shows there has been some planning.

Stepped on scales today and not exactly shocked to learn I lost 29 pounds in four weeks.

Gonna take a while to get that back.

I've lost something more, not sure what.

Probably a sense of my own mortality for the first time in my 46 years.

I was hoping that Chelsea, Wayne and assorted kids would have been weened off the worst of the worst of fast food crap and learned to actually cook a little but then again.

I can make a pot of homemade chilli for the price of a big mac meal and it will last for a good 4 meals if frozen. Whilst going for the ingredients I pass a queue of about 20 vehicles blocking the inside lane of the dual carriageway waiting to get their happy meals. What has this country become? It's easier to cook healthy food that buy kfc burger King or macdonalds and I'm just a working bloke caring for a disabled wife.

First day of the AZ vaccine being at GPs, but not all - it appears that the GPs without haven't been informed why.

I will be astounded if they meet the 13.9m individual vaccinations by mid Feb.

661. However, only 49 of these were in the NW. Only the SW had fewer. At 42.

Showing how we are benefitting from the months of restrictions.

Meaning whilst still rising here we do so from a lower base and hopefully will reach a lower peak and lose fewer people before the vaccine kicks in.

Johnson has only now decided to use the Army to help roll out the vaccine? It was obvious to many on here that this was likely to be needed, hes just making it up as he goes along.

They clearly had few viable plans in place to vaccinate millions, yet they have known for months this day was coming. Shambolic!

Glad you are getting better , it certainly is a hard road mentally , like you say you suddenly have a fear of your mortality, you do get it in perspective after a while , it didnt kill you so think positive

Very interested to see where that goes; I think there's about 4 million 80+, and we've already vaccinated a million or so, so that number *should* trend down almost immediately.
