This kid has 7 games in the Portuguese league and one season in the spanish second division. We should aim much higher than this. Need someone who can actually improve the team. If we’re looking for a young striker just use Delap, not buy someone elses project for an insane fee. I’m sure Delap would tear up that league

Possibly - but i think there is very little chance of us getting Haaland. There will be a bidding war for him (Bayern, Madrid, Utd could all realistically go for him...there have been noises about Liverpool as well) and we have shown we dont get involved in this tyoe of thing

His agents remarks about Pep in the past may stop us (iknow he has worked on other players with us - Laporte but i just dont see us dealing with him in a major way - everyone konws he also causes trouble once the player is at a club...aggitating for the next move etc)

They already spent 20mil on him, they'd want at least double. And like you said, 7 games, 1 goal in a not so brilliant league at 21. The calibre of player we need to replace Aguero should at LEAST be a regular starter in a top 5 league. Bare minimum.
 
Another mediocre performance yesterday. I just don’t get it...
 
Watching Benfica. His first half was awful. Again. I honestly can’t imagine anyone at City watching this or almost any of his matches this season at Benfica and thinking he’s some kind of answer

Honestly, I am not quite sure what we are seeing either but I will back Pep to the end of the earth. With our previous in buying from Benfica/ex Benfica players then I will also back this lad.

Indeed. Two assists in the end though, most in the league I think. I know we might all be looking for a stone cold scorer but we all know Pep is all about the contribution to the team as a whole and Nunez does tick a lot of boxes.

This idea that he contributes to the team and has a great first touch etc, that’s just not what he delivers consistently. He’s an average footballer and simply cannot be what we replace Aguero with. I would only take him if we’re also signing a Kane/Haaland type of star alongside

Well he has the most assists in the league lol, i didn't say anything about his first touch. As I said, Pep is basically guaranteed to transform the lad into the best possible version of himself so if he has at least the fundamentals then its easy to see why we are interested. We won't go anywhere near the price for Haaland, Martinez or Kane etc.
 
Sorry but this “most assists” stat that you bring up is ridiculous. He has four assists just like five other players, in a league that has very low level. And you’re absolutely wrong about us not spending big next summer. They need a marquee signing

No, he has 6 in 12 games. 2 clear of Grimaldo.
