It was on the news earlier the weekly assessment of the R number by some institute or other was 1 1 to 1.4 as opposed to 1.1 to 1.3 last week.
That's with restrictions.

Details of the lag in the data

Time delay of the estimates

SPI-M use several models, each using data from a variety of sources in their estimates of R and growth rate. Epidemiological data, such as hospital admissions, ICU admissions and deaths, usually takes up to 3 weeks to reflect changes in the spread of disease.

This is due to the time delay between initial infection, having symptoms and the need for hospital care. As a result, the latest published figures represent the situation over the past few weeks rather than today.
These estimates do not yet fully reflect any very recent changes in transmission due to, for example, recent policy changes in the UK

(my bold)

I remember the optimism when the vaccine was approved, seems a long time ago now. Wish I could afford to quit the job and sit it out. Back in next week after a weeks holiday. Dealing with dickheads all day everyday.

It’s Russian roulette time folks, good luck to you all. If you can please stay safe if you can’t stay lucky.
Same for me mate. Dealing with dick head lorry drivers trying to get in my office every time they rock up. I open the door and they try to pile in waiving their delivery note. Here's me scurrying behind my desk. Fooking tools

How selfish of them not giving way to an oncoming runner. Its not like you can fook off onto all that empty non populated grass to continue your puffing and blowing episode. Ignorant cnunts them families and they get right on my man tits : /
Really?

So, on a decent width path, which if you’ve been to Heaton Park you’ll know they are wide and that’s why I run there, then you’ve got a group of for example 6/8 people who shouldn’t even all be out together anyway, and they are chinwagging whilst covering the whole width of path, you really think that I should run into some shit/mud off the path rather than them make an effort to create a small gap to the side?

Fucking lol, you clown. I’ve got as much right to be on that path as they have.

Fuck it. Pile through them. See the ruck and clear the ruck.

It’s not getting better, this will only get worse after the Christmas period. How the hell does a governing body allow this?

REGIONAL WEEKLY POP SCORE TABLE:

Cases in week for region per 100,000 POPulation.

REGION // WEEKLY POP // LAST WEEK // INCREASE // % RISE

LONDON 1040 // 866 // UP 174 // 20%

EAST 800 // 598 // UP 202 // 34%

SOUTH EAST 723 // 521 // UP 202 // 39%

WEST MIDLANDS 557 // 293 // UP 264 // 90%

NORTH WEST 519 // 247 // UP 272 // 110%

NORTH EAST 441 // 243 // UP 198 // 81%

EAST MIDLANDS 435 // 266 // UP 169 // 64%

SOUTH WEST 355 // 200 // UP 155 // 77%

YORKSHIRE 309 // 198 // UP 111 // 56%

As you see North West is still the worst right now in terms of escalation.

Now in 5th in a table where BOTTOM is best. Pre Christmas NW was only above South West.

The extraordinary success of Yorkshire also shown - rising now more than it was but well ahead of the other regions.

I can see both sides here. Passed many joggers puffin and blowing in Heaton Park , Daisy Nook and Brookdale Park, always have to turn my back. They NEVER try to avoid you. However the family with 6 people always stay across the path, abreast. When I'm walking with my family and I see oncoming people I say "single file". Why the fuck can't others do it?
