Imagine listing a City away draw, in the season we actually won the cup, as one of the “most embarrassing FA Cup scrapes”.

So they have signed a player who has under a dozen games and somehow got a work permit with his lack of games and international caps, spent 40 odd million on him but most of the media headlines is only half of that as it include add ons (though you know if we had tried to buy him add ones would be included in the headline and we would probably have not got a work permit for him), and Utd fans are googling him as never heard of him then saying he is the next "insert name here" and world class. Give it a week before he is a boyhood Utd fan
Lol, they're saying he looks amazing based on youtube videos. They (rightly) say about other players, including legends of the game, that youtube can make anyone look like Pele, but apparently their players and this new kid are exempt from this condition. Hypocrites.

It's like when they got Ighalo, they were acting like they had brought in some world-class striker, rather than a nothing player who had been a relegation level footballer his entire career. Ridiculous. You just know if Maguire, Fred, McTominay, Lindelof, AWB, Telles, Shaw, Martial, Lingard, Jones, Rojo, Matic etc played for Man City or Liverpool they'd be slagging them all off at every turn, to various degrees. They defend Maguire but can you honestly tell me if he played for City and put in the performances he does for United they wouldn't be rolling about laughing and crucifying him?

Then they seem surprised when these players fail. Well, maybe it's because of their clueless delusions about their abilities which will NEVER manifest themselves on the park, no matter how many essays they write talking them up and pulling mythical qualities and attributes about them out of their arses.

What happened to that Welsh kid, wasn’t he the new Giggsy, not seen much of him on the pitch, has anyone seen any photos of his in-laws, might have misunderstood what they were acclaiming him to be
Hahaha Daniel James. After a decent month of scoring they were talking about having their left wing sorted for 10 years. They were saying the same about Wan Bissaka at RB after a few months. Look at the state of them now. They never learn lol.

As for Van de Beek, I think he's one of their more talented players, he's one of their very few players who looks like he might be comfortable playing possession football. But an £80m player, the new Johan Cruyff etc? He wanted to go to United and not Real Madrid? Frenkie de Jong has always been rated far more highly. That SSN guy is a clueless Man U sycophant shill.

Strange thing is there's a few in the past Shrewsbury, Halifax etc but these young pimple popper no marks weren't born then and it's too much effort to put out a decent article.

Have a scroll through Bluemoon. They're not the only ones to think they've signed a player based on YT highlights!! Their problem is every players they sign is the next [insert decent player name]. They never learn.

Did you have to remind me of Shrewsbury in the snow and Halifax in the mud-and that included the crowd

Hahaha yeah suppose, the whole youtube thing always mystified me anyway, it can literally make any player look world class through compilations.

But yeah, their comparing to their so-called legends is really their major problem. They also have a major, major issue with vastly overrating the shite that comes out of their academy or young players they sign, generally before they have proven a thing in senior football. I think it's because they see themselves as this club which always gives youth a chance. The most recent example is this Ethan Laird kid, who will probably be at Sunderland in a few years. Or the absolutely talentless Brandon Williams. But recent examples include Bothwick Jackson, Tunnicliffe, Fosu Mensah, Januzaj, Macheda, Bellion, Bebe, Obertan, Welbeck, Ravel Morrison, Lingard, Jones who they signed and Ferguson said could be their best player ever and the new Duncan Edwards according to Charlton, Cleverley, Anderson, Varela and numerous others. Fuck sake, it was obvious to anyone with a clue that welbeck was Bambi on Ice who couldn't finish his dinner, yet those utterly clueless cunts maintained for years that he was gonna be a top player and better than Sturridge. Then Arsenal fans acting like they had signed some superstar when they bought him. It's like the world had collectively gone mad.

Havent read the article so dont know how well researched it was.
Not sure why we are the headline when I can remember both Coventry and Birmingham as top division teams exiting to non league teams.
In 2005 a certain team scraped a draw at home to non league Exeter before losing at home to League 1 Leeds in 2010. Surely they would be more accuately described as upsets.

The article is fine. It's different players talking about their worst/most embarrassing moment in the cup. Our section is Michael Richards talking about the Notts County game.

Yeah, apologies. Having since read the article it wasn't as bad as the headline suggested. No idea why Micah picked that game ahead of the 3-0 home thrashing we received by Forest in 2009 though.

He's still a good player, just needs to leave United or get more game time. Tbh I love the fact he won't start him and persists with shite like Fred and McTominay.
