Who’s gone in the summer?

Rodri is arguably the best defensive midfielder in the league. Why would we sell him?

And Gundogan is very overrated, I don't know if you've watched the past 5 or so games, but he's been immense.
Do you mean underrated?

Agree on Gundo, he's been awesome recently and showing what a player he is. No chance we can afford to lose him.

As for Rodri, im far from convinced. IMO he offers very little and just will not suit the PL. He is slow and ponderous on the ball, isnt quick enough to play that position and in the style we play that needs the DM to link the ball into attack. He has no ability to pass the ball forward between lines and drive the team forward. He's very nice when he can have time on the ball and pass it 200 times a game 10 yards to his left or right, but thats not what we need.

I just don't get Rodri, though he's got the hardest of acts to follow in Fernandinho. Maybe I don't see what he does well, to me he's slow, immobile, doesn't seem able to tackle, basically a recycler of possession. A more expensive version of Matic.

Gundogan has been great last few games I agree.

'doesn't seem able to tackle' - Thats complete shite.

Just one instance (of numerous) was his magnificently timed and goal saving challenge against Chelsea,on the edge of the box, where Neville was doing his best to influence VAR.

That side of his game goes largely unnoticed by many,it would seem

Out:

Why do people want so hard to get rid of ZInchenko? Who is better option in the league or in Europe when we play the system in which he is employed; unless we sign another MF and force him to adapt playing a LB. He - and Pep with his 'crazy' football ideas - created this really strange system, where there is a pivot 60-70 yards on the left, who is assured in his passing and with at least three passing options, rotating pitch 90 degrees and it all gives us so many different options in attack against packed 5-4-1 defences. Pep started it with Delph, and it worked miracles, so I don't see reason for ZInch to be sold if he doesn't want to leave. And he is on a tiny salary that it almost look he plays for free for us. Bombing LB's on the other side, like Mendy, never seem to work.
But people wanted Cancelo out until he proved what a good player he is; ditto Gundo,Rodri etc. Apart from Fern and Aguero maybe, I don't see any player from the current squad that should be sold. Even Bernardo started picking up his form. But we definitely need another striker.

I don’t think that many wants to get rid, but to sign a new LB either Mendy or Zinchenko has to go. Lots of clubs are interested in Zinchenko and he seems much easier to offload than Mendy due to injury record and salary

Unless Mendy gets back to some level of fitness then he has to go.
Not sure what his wages are and what his sale value is, if anything.
We cannot have a player taking up a foreign spot on our panel and not contributing. If by summer transfer season he is still not playing regularly then he has to be released.

fully agree....

He is also not that good either.

And we have hardly conceded a goal from a cross or corner since he arrived, but he is slow against slow midfields he is brilliant but the faster ones,,, just wish he would use that thunderbolt shot more.

Looking at comments from his agent looks like Ferna could be going at the end of the season.....for me we need someone to replace him even if Rodri has an upturn in form. Ferna has been such a versatile player and I think Pep likes that in players so we will definitely need someone to replace him .

Garcia will leave on a free - good riddance

Angelino Im presuming will be sold
Zinchenko deserves regular first team football and would get it most other places so he probably needs to leave
for his own good.

Mendy Id sell along with Mahrez - neither good enough

Kun Id keep one more year (as a squad player) - esp if his little Argentinian friend from Barca arrives!

Out

Mahrez (thank fuck)
Mendy (thank fuck)
Zinchenko (think we’d be light at left back if we let both him and Mendy go but it’s time to let go players that aren’t good enough
Garcia
Fernandinho
Bernardo (possibly)
Rodri (don’t think this will happen, but I don’t rate him)
Sergio

In

Haaland
Messi
Zakaria/Aouar
Left back

Haaland is a must. I would like to see more balance within the squad. To many attacking midfielders that haven’t cemented a position of their own and get shoe horned in due to rotation. Bernardo is a good player, but he hasn’t matched his form from two seasons ago. Selling him and brining in a proper CM like Aouar would be beneficial.

Ederson
Steffen

Cancelo
Walker
LB
Ake (left back cover)
Laporte
Stones
Dias
THB

Zakaria/Aouar
Rodri?
Gundo
Doyle
KDB
Foden

Palmer
Sterling
Messi
Haaland
Torres
Jesus
Delap

Even looking at that list, I still don’t think it’s perfect. Defence is pretty much sorted, just need to sign a reliable LB. Midfield still has a few problems. I don’t think Rodri is up to it but I haven’t got a clue who we’d sign to put in that position. Up top, Haaland would bang in the goals, but I still think we’d be unbalanced without a proper left winger. Sterling and Jesus would be the choices for that position, but I like players that beat a man on the outside.
Unlike how your in coming are limited to 4. And I agree with at least 2 of them?

That list is just a maybe list. Not all of them will leave but I think most of them should be moved on. Fernandinho has barely declined a bit and I would like him to stay but perhaps Pep has different ideas. Who knows what Sergio’s current physical condition is like. Zinchenko is a decent squad player but we must get rid of Mendy and sign a proper left back.

Coulddnt agree more. I'd definitely move Aguero, Dihno, Mahrez, Mendy, Garcia.

Leaving Kev, Gundogan and Walker as the elder statesmen. All just clicking 30. Add 3 players under 23 ( Haaland and Aouor fit that bill plus a young LB) then thd 33 year old Messi and we have a great mix of talent, experience and youthful vigor.

If we do bring in Haaland, is Jesus going to want to stay? He’s been 2nd to Sergio all these years but obviously with Sergio getting older he can see a clear pathway to starting for us. However bringing in a 100mil+ young striker just says we don’t deem him good enough as our starting striker, unless we play a 2 striker system or Jesus plays on the wing. I can’t see him happy being second with clubs like Juve interested and potentially Barca/Inter/PSG/Dortmund if they sell their current striker.

I agree with your players out but we've tried Angelino twice & it didn't work. I think Kieran Tierney would be a decent left back for us.

I'm still hoping that Angeliño would find a place on the team. And more importantly, he would cost us naught so we can go after Haaland.
