She visited mine on her way home. I can confirm that it's true.
 
Some good news is I posted on here a while ago as to my confusion on how the vaccination was being rolled out but I'm happy to say my parents received the covid jab on Friday.

I agree with others on supermarkets being tougher. It should be ONE adult buys the shopping the same as Spain. No gangs of families or couples dawdling, talking on phones or even cuddling in the aisles as I saw when shopping yesterday. If it needs two to unload it or carry it then one can wait outside. The same with kids, if they have to go with a single parent unless very young they can wait outside or in the car. Also in Spain if you can't wear a mask you aren't allowed in, nor on public transport. This could be problematic for a single person with nobody to get their shopping but I'm sure something could be arranged.

some stats from Yougov about it. About a 3rd of those asked said they wouldn't take it but of that only a small percentage were hardnened Anti Vaxers.
 
Good for Morrisons, just announced that they are banning shoppers who refuse to wear a mask. Hope they challenge those claiming to be exempt with "Covid doesn't care who is exempt if you are that weak you shouldn't be out in public places"
 
My friend btw was told by her doctor today she would be contacted when they were ready when she DID ask but instructed she HAD to go to Manchester Royal later this week for treatment on her heart failure and when she asked about Covid told it was very safe. Not to worry.

And when she asked if they would give her the vaccine if she made the effort to go there told - not up to them - talk to your doctor.

Who had just said wait to hear from the government and told her to go to the hospital.

My views on this get increasingly angry every time we speak.

One good thing to do would be to keep the fucking press out!! Sick of seeing cameras and reporters inside hospital wards or old people’s homes watching them get vaccinated, it’s a fucking needle going into their arm, you can’t see anymore than that! When you realise that some of these people haven’t seen family for a while yet the press are in their it’s just wrong.

What do those who are not tech Savvy and dont have relations do?

we have to shop for our inlaws and drop it off to them, they dont have the ability to buy online. if they didn't have us they would have to get a bus to there nearest shop.

there are always exceptions.

If you are too ill to wear a mask you shouldnt be out for your own safety. Ask a neighbour for help, they cannot all be so selfish they wouldn't shop for a vulnerable person. Problem is there are too many idiots hiding behind the phrase I'm exempt.

I mean, this is just bollocks because I didn’t leave the house, to go for a walk or the shop, when I had Covid... or when the Mrs had it after me. I isolated 26 days because of timings with contact and my dad went shopping for me twice.

Is that what I’m supposed to do now? Is it fuck.

Edit: not aiming that at you Kaz I mean Hancock :-)

Agreed, my friend I keep mentioning is exempt from wearing but has to try when in taxis going to hospital as she cannot use public transport. She cannot walk around a shop wearing a mask without collapsing.

She goes out as rarely as possible but sometimes there is no choice. Like going to the MRI for treatment this week.
