Between them, Boris & co have made a pigs ear of it from day 1 & we have not learned lessons from other countries
While other countries were shutting borders or at least making people self isolate. We carried on without a care in the world. While countries around the world cancelled sporting events we carried on regardless. Our
track & trace system was an expensive disastor. We paid fortunes for PPE which wasnt fit for purpose
We promised to place a(ring of steel) around Old Peoples Home) that was a false promise
Rules seemed to change on a whim .Ministers made statements then were contradicted hours latler
Nightingale Hospitals were hailed a great sucsess but were hardly used .Told not to wear maks then told to wear them .Go to school, dont go to school
Eat out dont eat out
Boris was going to save Christmas then he didnt
I could go on & on but it just gets more depressing
NewZealand & Australia to name a couple of countries went in hard & early and are reaping the benifits
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but sadly we just dont seem to have learnt a thing over last 9-12 months
Fingers crossed we can get the vaccine rold out at quickly as the government are telling us
My thoughts & sympathy lies with everyone who has been effected by this living nightmare .Lets hope our leaders get us out of this mess sooner rather than later
Begs the question, why are you coming home on Friday if you feel safer in Cyprus.
You will be lucky to get a return flight from the uk for the next couple of months

If this is accurate, and then when added to all the other infections that have happened, plus the ones that are about to, then surely it should have an impact on that much debated herd immunity threshold? That's a *huge* amount of people. It has to have an impact, surely?

i think i was discussing with someone on here and 15 to 20m positive in the UK is a pretty good estimate now (ca. 20%).

What did people make of the roads today? I was walking the dog this evening at 5pm and it was pretty busy on the main road off the Motorway. I thought roads would be fairly quiet like March/April.
Was quiet 9.15-10.00 around Chadderton/Royton when I was driving to the shops but hardly anyone gets up that early anyway around here hence, I was out shopping.

That has to have an impact at some point. On the flipside if you've got a mortality rate between 0.3-0.5% then you're looking at another 5-10k deaths from just this current estimate of how many have it alone, which is incredibly grim.
