Erling Haaland

Pep spoke to Mbappe and made it clear it wasn't him but City he didn't want to play for.

Haaland has a preference for United and only decided to join Dortmund because he was worried Solskjaer would not be around long enough.

They have a decent bond because he gave him his chance at Molde.

Felix didn't really go very far because of his price and preferring Madrid.

You need the player to be interested firstly.

Haaland was not.

His old man is on record stating his lad didn't go to United because there was uncertainty over the longevity of Solskjaer.

Alf was a guest of ours last year at the Etihad and Txiki went to Anfield to also watch him play in the Champions League game.

He preferred other options at the time and Raiola has ensured Alf and his dad will earn even more cash in the longer term.

Raiola was on the way out at United but he is now in a position of strength again because they need to renew on Pogba.

Haaland will be able to take his pick.

If he thinks Ole is going to elevate his performance level through world class coaching he can’t be the sharpest tool......

All correct. As stated, at the time, Haaland favoured other options and his agent and dad didn't want him taking a chance on United.

Dortmund solved a number of concerns and were happy to cede to Raiola's demands for an easy get away.

City are very much admirers of Haaland and remain so.

18 months is a long time in football and come the summer, perhaps the barrier he felt Aguero and Jesus were at the time, is no longer a deterrent to him seriously considering City.

Does is dad still live here ? Might have some influence on his thinking.

Looking at it logically, who could go for him and afford wages/agent fees etc

Us
Utd
Liverpool.
Chelsea
Bayern
Madrid
PSG
Barca?

Utd - we know he has some connection to OGS who gave him his chance at Moulde. We know he has been an admirer of OGS and therefore that puts them in the running. We also know that Utd will throw money at the agent fees, they have a connection to Raiola and they will if possible out bid others for a player as they have a history of doing this. This all gives them a chance and sometimes the football doesnt come into it. He would also be a certain starter at utd. Downside is that they aint very good (despite their league position) and wont compete in Europe at present unless they add some real quality an it will take more than Haaland to do so.

Liverpool - they have a very good forward line so maybe not a certain starter unless they sold one of their front 3 (Salah?). They could afford to throw money at him and his agent and would do if necessary. Klopps style of play suits Haaland down to the ground and he would be joining a team that will compete for CL and Prem title every season and has the quality to do so - dont underestimate their "iistory"in all of this as well!

Chelsea - they have spent big recently so Im not sure if this would be a goer unless they cut their losses on someone like Timo Werner who seems to be struggling (highly unlikely however) - again they can afford him, will pay the agent fees. Not sure what reputation/standing Mino has at Chelsea but he must have a client or two there surely? Like us and Liverpool they will compete on all stages every year..they have a young squad (I think) and Lampard seems to be getting time to do this.

Bayern - no idea if he would go there....but they surely must be an option?

Madrid - could he be the next "galactico" - they have supposedly been after Mbappe for a few years so maybe that would make this a no goer but no one would put it past Madrid of trying to sign both of them - they have the history, reputation and will always compete on every front and have the money to do the deal with club and agent....Mino must have connections there. would he be a certain starter there however?

PSG - clearly have the financial power to get him - would they go for him if they lost Mbappe to Madrid? Again, he would be guarnateed to be competing on all stages and would clean up in the French league for the domestic titles one would presume (would the fact that its such a one horse league put him off?

Barca - probably a no goer with the turmoil that is going on there but should Messi stay then they could use that to attract other talents...does Haaland fit in with them however - I dont see it.

Well the scum could just get another loan out to add to there debt to buy one the best players out there!

Regardless of how they get their money, they have a track record of paying whatever to get what they want. It hasnt really worked so far however (Sanchez, Pogba in particular) - McGuire has improved their defence however (though anyone is a step up from Phil Jones!)

I used to see him around Alderley but I’m back in Wilmslow now so I’m not sure.

Have certainly seen him with Txiki a couple of times during the last two years.

Who knows what goes on behind closed doors, I remember Txiki being in a box at Hoffenheim with Firmino's agent at one stage.

Unless Liverpool sell Salah, they won't be able to do the deal.

I can't see Madrid being an option with Mbappe making it clear that is where he always wanted to play.

United won't have the cash if they still want Sancho.

Bayern could be a viable option, but feel the timing could now be right for City to be the most attractive.

Chelsea, psg? I also think Bayern.....and he woukd be a lot cheaper than mbappe for Madrid as well due to the release clause

PSG ruined there chances of getting him with them shitty celebrations they did after knocking Dortmund out of the champions league.

Bayern could be a threat if we wait another year and Lewandowski leaves.

Do you think that would stop him moving to psg if they came along with a better financial offee than anyone else?

I pray every night to the football gods that we sign this guy, just go to Dortmund/Raiola with a black cheque, chuck in the Sancho clause as a sweetener and get it done.

Mini Raiola will do everything possible for Erling Haaland to play for Barça. His signing is "affordable", as reported by Oriol Domenech
