I thought the Palace game would see us facing a good defensive side with real quality on the counter. Without Zaha and Kouyate Palace were dogged but toothless. Villa should be much much stronger.

Grealish, Barkley and McGinn give them real quality in midfield. Watkins is a very clever, hard working forward so will trouble most defences. At the back they’ve been very good, 8 clean sheets, with an impressive keeper in Martinez. In short they’re a far better side than most we’ve faced recently.

We’ll have to be on it from the off and more clinical than most home matches. Hopefully yesterday’s goals from set pieces will be the norm rather than exception. It amazes me that Dias and Rodri have yet to score this season.

One of Rodri/Dihno (Preferably Rodri as Dihno should not play 2ice in a week).
One of Sterling/Bernado ( Probably Sterling as Bernado is more like Foden)
One of Jesus/Ferran (Probably Jesus coz he needs that confidence and game time)
One of (Walker/Zinchencko as I prefer Cancelo to either on their side. So what side we wanna play Cancelo determines who starts.

Do not Start, but bring on if needed: Mahrez.
 
Will be interesting to see what state they are in after the covid break out.

Walker and Jesus have looked very rusty, Gundo did at first too.

Definitely want to see Foden back in

Flip side of that is that we were excellent against Chelsea immediately after ours. They could be refreshed from the break. It will be interesting to see if they’ll have their best team available.
 
Lets hope the pitch drains well, we're going to get bucket loads of rain Tuesday/Wednesday
 
People I know covid is going around but some worse than others but please keep Mendy from any starting 11 he is dangerous in anything we do going fwd
We actually look decent now down each flanks with Walker, Cancelo & Zinchenko
Sticking someone in who can't cross a fucking road nevermind a ball to a City player & then watching Mendy trying to get his feet moving to even controll the ball

No thanks not for me or any League or Champions league game

Stick him in against Cheltenham thats what I say

He hasn’t looked the same since his injury but he can whip crosses far better than any of our full backs .
