That was great, what a fantastic period in our development that was, I enjoyed every minute of it, we had a PR team giving to him big time, managers who took no sh!t from him and gave it back in abundance (Hughes and more so Mancini), a player who revelled in scoring and celebrating in front of him (Tevez), a recruitment team who agitated their transfer targets (Van Persie) so that they had to pay more and who unsettled their star player (Rooney) and most importantly a rapidly improving team bridging a gap between the two clubs that he had resided over for over 20 years. The damage to his over-inflated ego was comedy bliss and the joy of over turning the repression he and his fellow rags revelled in was amazing. Yes, where we are today is more than we could have wished for but the journey was incredible.

There used to be a proper rag twat not right I went to school with who was a huge fan of Ultravox. Laughed my bollox off when Joe Dolce kept them off number one.
