Stockport and Oldham etc. are specific towns though, with a town centre.

Trafford is just a made up area with lines on a map that kind of trace the land the de Trafford family owned but it’s innacurate as a lot of that land extended into what is Manchester (Whalley Range and Moss Side, for example).

There’s no town or even a village called Trafford.

United should be called Stretford United because, while their ground is called Old Trafford, it’s not actually in Old Trafford (Old Trafford is further over on the other side of Chester Road), it’s in the Trafford Park industrial estate in Stretfrord.
Pisses me off that Manchester city Council entertains them if they win a cup with a parade. They contribute nothing financially to the council coffers

Correct. I was born and bred in OT, this side of Warwick Road on Skerton Road and went to Stretford Grammar not OT Grammar!

This all day long.
Their first Sugar Daddy John H Davies copied the name Old Trafford from the cricket club for the stadium that he gave them.

There's a certain irony about tabloid newspapers, especially the Daily Mail, whining about social media channels not removing racist comments. These newspapers have allowed racist comments about our owner for years on their websites. They rarely remove them. The comments on Mailonline at the bottom of City stories are straight out of the sewer.
Case in point. Raheem Sterling.

Is Ferguson SERIOUSLY following United everywhere and travelling with the team? Even though he's high-risk? And not in the best of health either, didn't he have a brain haemorrhage fairly recently?
