Has anyone seen or have access to the Opta running stats? Would love to see how much ground we covered yesterday, Bernie and Gundo especially. Great team performance. Back four kept the best ever front three quiet, Rodders is getting better each game and alongside him Bernie and Gundo were brilliant. Front three kept their back four pushed back most of the game and their long diagonals and crosses from anywhere were kept to a bare minimum. Mahrez must have the best first touch in the premier and his off the ball work goes unseen. He softened up Robertson and Phil finished him off. As for the best right back in the universe I hope the watching Southgate realises how shit he is. His defensive efforts against Raheem were nothing short of woeful. Funny how last season when Raheem ripped him a new one nothing was said. Win the next five league and I can see the title being wrapped up with two or three games to go but let's get past the Fingland's sponsored team first and take it one game at a time

If he wasn't taken in by every single dive and had a bit more courage in his convictions when there's a crowd in the stadium he'd be an excellent referee.

He's not the only one to fall for their shit. If the media start calling them out more consistently like they did yesterday the refs will stop giving them, we've seen it before with the likes of Bale, Januzaj etc.

Great win by the chaps......Salad is a confirmed cheat/diver which we knew anyway.....
My main concern is the penalty issue,.......we dont get many but when we do we fcuk it it big style...
3 penalties missed against the Scouse.......
I suggest we contact Balotelli and have him on the bench and bring him on for penalties only.....
Imagine if the game hinged on that penalty..or any other game.....
Or maybe Ederson should take them....at least he would hit the target......or Bernado.....
This is a genuine problem.....

That's really interesting, I can never pick up on stuff like this during a game so I enjoyed that. This is the kind of stuff pundits and journalists should be putting out there, not just some guy on YouTube.

Yeah, it's irritating as hell that they don't get called out as cheats as much as they should. The media have a much bigger say on how football is officiated than I'm comfortable with really.

Agreed, but unfortunately that's the way it is, they've already gotten the handball rule changed twice this season.

Totally agree
It’s time we let Ederson have a go.
Brazilian goalie Ceni amassed over 130 career goals for his club. He was a set piece specialist. Most were pens but I think a substantial number were free kicks too.
Please let Ederson have a go Pep.
It would cement his legendary status no doubt...

Fuck me maybe Pep was right in what he said about Phil and Messi. He was magnificent. He is so talented it is scary,. His goal was Messi like, but what impressed me more than that, was the last minute he was still chasing back and working hard. That is ingrained in him now and he is one of our very own. He is defo making a lot of the opinionated journos who thought he would never get a chance to play/should go out on loan look very silly. I loved how Ederson ran the full length of the pitch to celebrate his goal with him, it meant a fucking awful lot to them all.

Its a nice feeling on a monday morning, lets hope our heads on the Swansea game, as their records to be broken and silverware to win.

Excellent post pal, although I’d say the only proviso for me is that I‘m sorry but just couldn’t include FFS in your point 6, he most definitely didn’t run his balls off.

Having a solid Dias and Stones behind him is what has made the difference for Rodders, he’s stopped panicking about what’s going on in the centre of defence and concentrated on his own game.
