It's a Liverpool thing, right?

I swear some of our fans should be banned from social media, the fickle cunts. I'm glad Silva wasn't on social media, some of them would have been threatening to rape his daughters or something equally charming. I mean, the guy inspired more hatred than Roberto Martinez, and that's quite an achievement.

They made a club statement recently:

Going to be absolute class, the stadium and the setting where it is.

Will surely be one of the best setting for any ground in Europe?
Looks great and tbh Goodison is a shithole-apologies Evertonians but it is and has been for years, Enjoyed it in 81 but not the walk back to Lime St. Bugger I’m pissed again and remembering the good old days.

You could say the same for most clubs to be honest; our club included.

Remember going to Forest in the late 60s, and the local coppers stopping us going in the Trent End as we outnumbered the home fans! It's not the first time a football club has been situated next to a river.
And the Trent is longer than the Mersey.

@shackattack, @FightLikeAGirl, @Toffeedude

When is your new stadium due to be ready?

The sooner you can move away from those wankers across Stanley Park, IMHO.
it's been recommended for approval by the council. possibly agreed by a planning committee at end of month, along with the legacy proposals for goodison. all being well the hope is for it to be completed in time for the 24/25 season.

This move will transform Everton. They need to put their past history behind them (great though much of it is) and move forward. I loved Maine Road as much as anyone but leaving there was the best thing ever for City. It actually felt like we had ditched a lot of negative baggage. I remember the first match at the City of Manchester Stadium and watching City beating Barca in a pre-season friendly with the sun shining. I just thought...wow. We have never looked back.
