I am not asking you to reveal a source’s name because honestly it wouldn’t make any difference. But you just made your whole info even less believable with that admission. Even if it doesn’t happen, you don’t get to say “I told you so”.
It would if you knew. ;)

Anyway i was only posting what I was told and i don't care if you believe it or not. I am not the type to say "told you so" because i am not really that arsed, i just found it interesting coming from somebody i respect.

Fair point, but you're by your own admission hardly qualified to pass any sort of professional opinion in that case and throwing the J word in doesn't add any credence to your posts.
There isn’t a case at all though lol. And the method and ethics of reporting and investigative journalism doesn’t change whether the subject is sports, politics, science or any other area.

For instance, one thing you can’t do is hear something from a source (regardless of how high you take their info into account), and immediately report it as fact without follow up investigation or corroboration. Then it’s just gossip

Look at you Mr Journalist. Talking about ethics when we have a media in this country with the morals of a semi trained tom cat and the only ethics they know is a county in SE England.

You appear very put out by "gossip" when in fact its the "gossip" related reporting and lack of proper investigative journalism that is proving to be a major part in the downfall of the UK print media and long may it continue, buy a coffee instead and get rid of the clowns that try and pass themselves off as serious journalists when they are nothing more than click bait whores.

First of all, I am not British, and therefore not part of the British media. I am fully aware, however, of their faults, and I guarantee you it’s not exclusive to your country. They are partly due to lack of adherence to ethical standards, not because of those standards. But also the marketplace. It’s a complicated discussion that I have written and debated on an academic level. I will say though, that if you think getting rid of journalistic diversity will make anything better, you’re dead wrong.

I have heard from a pretty good source that we will not be signing Haaland. In fact the source said there are no plans at all to sign a new forward.

So I wouldn't get your hopes up, i rarely ever post what my source says, but he has never once been wrong.

Don't ask who it is either, i will not say, i trust the man and he is a good fella whose company I enjoy,
I wouldn't mind TBH. We still have Aguero(which is likely key to getting Messi), Gabriel Jesus, and an exciting prospect in Delap.

Edit:

Of course, granted that Aguero signs a contract.

Aguero isn’t signing a new contract and Pep’s plan is to play Jesus in the wing gradually next season. It’s not just that we’re getting one forward in the summer; we’re likely getting two. We were already looking at one last summer (multiple reports of names we looked at out there) and now we will need two.

Thanks for posting but not a chance we will not be signing a striker this summer, in fact I would say we will be signing at least two.

Haaland and Messi , (if Messi is classed as a striker)

Also would not surprise me if we moved on one of the wide players, probably Mahrez if we received a decent fee.

Don't get me wrong I will love to see him join us and we do need a striker to replace Aguero and create competition for Jesus.

Just looking at recent signings he just does not fit the profile in terms of price, you will need to overpay to get him which does not align with the strategy of the Club targeting targeting value players, which I think is the right approach. Only time will tell.
Why wouldwe need to overpay? We will pay what we think he is worth.

From what Im hearing from other fans on here, Haaland will decide where his next step is.....his career has been managed really well by his father with the right steps taken at each stage for his development. I also think he has said he wants to play in the premiership so he obviously sees that as a step. If that is true then our competitors for his signature would be Liverpool (depending on what happens with Klopp and also Mane and Salah) - if those two stay there is no place in the first team for him. Chelsea could go for him but they will have to offload some very recent expensive acquisitions. Utd could go for him (Cavani wont stay beyond his loan you wouldnt think) and he has an exisiting relationship with OGS but looking at hw they play would he really want to go there.....

Then there is us.....a world class manager regarded by many as THE BEST. A team that competes is ALL comps (unlike Liverpool) who seem to pick and choose. A world class set up behind the scenes to support him (look at what Gundogan has just said about finishing his career with us due to what is behind the scenes and how the club is set up) and a team of very very good players already in place (KDB, SIlva, Sterling, Ederson, Dias Cancello) and the best manager in the world to learn from.....

There is a lot of reasons to come to us....IF he chooses to go somewhere else above all of that then so be it...It maybe becuase he doesnt think he ready, he may see it as a step too far at the moment (doubt it)...he may get a better financial offer from somewhere else (Possible but if that is what he wants then he is not the player for us ---look at pogba, Sanchez, Maguire - all went to the rags due to money and all have struggled to some extent)

Rascal is a Very long term member of this forum...he doesnt post that often but he isnt some kid posting shit
I’ll respect and consider his opinions whenever I find they’re valid and meaningful, just as I will of someone who joined yesterday. But “I heard through the cousin of the neighbor of a friend of a guy who knows someone that cleans Txiki’s place that we’re not signing a forward” is rubbish. Too much for me, sorry

I haven't a clue but can easily see a scenario where we don't sign Haaland or any striker. If we signed Messi, if Aguero extended 2 years, I could quite easily see us going some games with no centre forward so wouldn't want a centre forward that expects to play every week, which would probably rule Haaland out.
As I said I have no idea, but I wouldn't be posting not a chance with any great confidence.

The reports from credible sources say literally: we will sign a striker regardless of signing Messi or not.

Yeah that’s a good shout we get Messi a midfielder and a left back

I think it could be a case of who blinks first, if no one moves for him this year I don’t think we will either, I just think with Covid everyone maybe bar us are strapped for cash, Barca, Madrid are skint by all accounts and if they start a bidding war we would win. If no one goes for him it could play into our hands the following season, activate his buy out clause, drop the Sancho money and we will be front runners, just depends if he wants to come and his scumbag agent

The same credible source that says one of the targets is Danny Ings...
That wasn’t the source I was thinking of, but I also don’t think Ings is totally unrealistic if we’re signing two
