Breaking records/stats thread

I'm sure it must have been addressed on here since wednesday evening, but I'm too lazy to check! When's the last time we won both league fixtures on Merseyside in the same season? One for the anoraks out there!
Not since Adolf Hitler bombed Stan Boardman’s chippy!...:)

Equalled a club record 11 successive away wins according to BBC.

Also, Manchester City are unbeaten in their past 25 games across all competitions (W22 D3) - their second-longest run without defeat under Guardiola, after a 28-game spell between April and December 2017.

Game 29 - the rags! If we get there ok.

That’s also game 20 for wins in a row, if we make it that far

Woke this morning with a thought that City are the only team with 3 consecutive managers to win the English PL. (ok I’m 2-3 years late with that thought - shush!)

pretty good definition of a dynasty - multiple consecutive successful leaders.

Rather than a single successful dictator...

NB checking further back, Liverpool pre-PL have had 2 sets of dynasties, early 1900’s (3 managers) and then shankly -> dalglish (4). Interestingly both lasted about the same time, 30 years.

Sunderland also had a dynasty of 3, lasting 40 years starting in 1899 ... though the periods between winning (3 times) the league were well spaced out!

Yes. Over the last 70 years only 2 rag managers have won the title where as City have had 3 managers over a 6 year period
