Rolling out Lizzy now to call anti-Vaccers selfish.

They must be desperate,she usually gets splinters in her arse sitting on the Fence avoiding contetious issues.

I find it strange that those with the biggest issues against those not having the vaccination right now,are those that have already had the vaccination.

Yet these people have had the vaccination,and are now supposedly safe,and will only ever have mild symptoms.Now they are out in force abusing those that wont subjugate to the Needle.

Another misconception,is those not having the vaccination, are doing it out of selfishness.

This could not be further from the truth.

All those i know, that are not having the vaccination at this moment in time.Is because they are seiously concerned about the long term ramifications of taking this vaccine.What will be the long term effects on their Brain,nervous, and auto-immune system.Nobody really knows this, because normal testing procedure was circumvented to rush the vaccine out.This is a real concern to a lot of people.

It is sad that so many feel angry about others having valid concerns.

Why would it impact any of those things? There is absolutely no evidence that it could impact on your brain, nervous or auto-immune system. There is plenty of evidence around the damage that alcohol, cigarettes, drugs and being fat all do though, I presume none of those you know fall into any of those categories?

The latest weekly regional Pop score shows the first rise in some weeks.

In Yorkshire.

It has been notably going up and levelling with the other northern regions recently and as of today is the firt region to show a week to week rise after weeks of falls.

It is tiny - just 1% - but it has brought it level with the NW exactly at a regional Pop of 154.3.

But whilst the NW fell to this from 177 last week - Yorkshire has gone up from 153.

First hint of any problem with the data and curious it is happening to the one area that has had the lowest levels of the new variants but apparently now well behind elsewhere is seeing them taking off.

Perhaps they were just behind the curve and we will within a week or so see them heading the case totals.

Hopefully this is just a blip and the steady roll out of the vaccinations will not see this become a problem.

Of course cases are still key. Still millions not yet vaccinated, so more cases means more chance of mutation and thus more hospital admissions for those not yet vaccinated.

Are we still bothered about cases though? Shouldn’t we be focussing on hospital admissions seen as though the vaccine doesn’t prevent you from catching it, but prevents you getting seriously ill?

I post hospital data each evening from England but not admissions as these go up and down and only longer treds show what is happening.

Patients in are less varied. As they measure admissions and discharges daily and show quickly which way things are going.

27 deaths - was 31 last week

581 cases - was 885 last week

3.3% positivity - was 4.4% last week

(161 Greater Glasgow, 105 Lothian and 97 Lanarkshire)

924 Patients (down 43 in day) - was 1222 last week (a 25% fall again wk to wk)

80 ventilated icu (down 9 in day - biggest fall in ages) - was 98 last week.

Pretty good figures again.

Like England the hospital numbers are rapidly declining day to day.

Scotland vaccination update:

1, 542, 929 first doses - 26, 949 today - was 27, 903 yesterday and 31 186 last week

65, 340 second doses - 8679 today - was 6540 yesterday and 4846 last week


As you can see numbers are pretty constant at around 36 K day to day and week to week.

94% of all those ages 65 - 69 now vaccinated.

Congrats, Blues, we have managed to get through another week.

Some people didn't get that luxury, sadly.

We all still need to stay the course, just a few more weeks and then some of the things we took so long for granted, might come back to us.

It's getting towards the stage now with both BAME & anti-vac people that there's little point in still pushing the point (hehe) there's enough info out there & bombardment of media from 'trusted' members of the community & TV celebs etc that there'll be very little movement in persenteges from these people.

If for example there are many ethnic minorities that return to say Pakistan who may allow you in without a vaccine, however on return the government says you must go in a hotel for 10 days at £1750, how many of those will then get it. Same with anyone coming into this country whether they are residents or not, if you don’t have the vaccine you go into isolation and pay up.

I'm pretty sure it will work both ways, we will ask for a vac certificate to come in. Sounding very much like the EU close to something, even if the financially motivated Spain, Portugal and Greece would be happy to turn a blind eye to accept our holidaymakers.

Certainly those people who travel back to Pakistan, India or China, for various reasons, may have little option but to bite the bullet even if they weren't going to bother.

Not just travel, concerts, restaurants, pubs, cinemas, etc.

The government has leverage, without even having to make it law.

I’ve read that the government is looking at recording your vaccination status within the NHS app (not the track & trace app). This is the one that has your records on and with which you can make appointments, order prescriptions etc.

England hospital deaths today slightly concerning. Smallest fall week to week in a while now,

307 - down from just 315 last Friday.

But the reason is clear. A truly terrifying number from the North West.

The highest ever.

106 - over a third!!!

It may be a lot of backdating. Hopefully.

44 of the NW deaths were in Liverpool, 19 in Manchester and 11 in Pennine Acute.

So with a few other add ons - 6 Stockport and 5 St Helens the biggest - the vast bulk of this huge NW death total was in these two metro counties.

That Liverpool number is the highest from one trust in one day I recall seeing recently.
