Interestingly, the Telegraph has an article up detailing that Germany is about to approve AZ for over 65s and also they are considering extending the period between first and second doses to 60 or 90 days for all vaccines.
Essentially they are looking to follow the UK model.
I don’t break any rules. I was quite happy with my AZ vaccine thanks anyhow. Of course fostering two kids who are at school means I could pick it up anytime from them so happy to have any vaccine. As you say, it's only one day but hopefully the start of a sustained period in which the percentage in the two older groups falls off. This is looking like even better news than what we had dared hoped for.England hospital deaths by age:
Big news the over 80s deaths NOT the highest for first time today.
Ages
20 - 39 (4) 2.7%
40 - 59 (5) 3.4%
60 - 79 75) 50.3%
80 PLUS (65) 43.6%
With numbers as low as today not wise to over judge - note the very low under 60s numbers in percentage too.
But such has been the skew towards higher ages with Covid this is the first time I ever recall seeing fewer deaths over 80 than in the 60 - 79 age range.

I'm not sure the %ages of the 2 older groups can really fall off as the numbers in the under 60s are so small,and would guess those under 60 in the main have underlying conditions so will already be vaccinated or soon. Well they will won’t they? In theory assuming the vaccine is working then over time the percentage of unvaccinated will be much higher in the mix (but of a lower absolute number). That's good to hear, there with Mrs H for her jab Tuesday, had mine at the drive through in Hyde, brilliantly organised all round.Had az vaccine at etihad, unbelievable the organisation, hats off to all concerned.

Not really, take todays numbers 4 ,5, 75, 65. Assuming those under 60 with underlying conditions have also been vaccinated now or in the next couple of weeks. best case scenarion all 4 groups drop to 0. For argument though lets say they drop to 1, 1, 4 ,4 great numbers but still 10% 10% 40% 40%. So the percentage figure becomes a bit misleading and not the figure to be looking at.Well they will won’t they?
