One of our best players also a city fan left on the bench! Wtf pep insane not to play him

Sterlings spent 3 seasons living in wan-bissaka's pocket making him look like Maldini playing against an 8 year old, Phil comes on and rinses him within minutes, added more energy and drive to the side than anybody else had managed all game once he came on, should have started.

Maybe it will take southgate on England duty to put foden ahead of sterling on the left for Pep to do the same because if it isn't happening now with the performances we are seeing from sterling and the impact foden is making then I don't know how it will happen.

I think Mahrez got MOTM against Wolves and I'll be honest I was gutted because I knew what that was gonna mean for Phil today...

It was hard to drop Mahrez because he has been good but he played against both Wolves and West Ham and Foden didn’t start either. Very strange.

I think with Hindsight Pep wouldn’t have played Jesus.

Just don't get it mate,I know he wants to keep him grounded type of thing, but today was perfect for him to start, and I really thought he would have done.
Agreed. And like others have said he doesn't pay the fearful respect that Sterling has towards Wank-Biscuit, Foden probed that today within minutes minutes of coming on fresh and hungry.

Love Pep probably our best ever manager , but he is stubborn when it comes to Foden , he is one of the best eleven players at our club and thats a fact , he is 20 years old so three games a week is hardly going to burn him out . The lad is verging on world class now , let go of the reins Pep this lad is ready to amaze.

Still scratching my head around why he didn't start.

1. Rested. Check.

2. Toasted Wan Bissaka in his last game against them. Check.

3. Sterling has struggled against Wan Bissaka every single time he went against him. Check.

Surely he starts then (and why I made the comment before this game). But still no.

I can't defend Pep here. And while I understand rotation with regards to Bernardo, we had more rest than United for this game.

All valid points.
Id love to know why Pep didn’t start him or play his most suitable xi.
There must be another reason for this

I wonder if he’s being punished for giving the ball away for the Everton equaliser.
