I couldn’t take the expert’s opinions on here if we lost twice in 23. Metaphorically creeping up on me whispering in my ear how crap Pep is ....”we should bin him off...should have gone for Big Sam...hoof it Yaya...listen to me....listen to my warnings of doom.....United are coming.....”

Praying for a win.

Give it to Giggsy or Slippy G until the end of the season ;-)

I think the whole massive over reaction to the defeat last night (and apprehension for the next game wanting just a win, any win) is due to the fact that we as fans had forgotten how it feels after a loss ... having not seen one in over three and a half months and for almost two and a half months we didn’t even see a draw so obviously a loss is a shock to the system ... understandable!

A loss followed by another loss or draw and then more dropped points for third game in a row might be troubling but that one alone on its own last night changes nothing in the big picture ...

If anything, it keeps Ole in the job a little longer ... and gives Pep to use this as a reminder and an example going forward ... because players, just like us, had also forgotten that losing feeling as well ... so serves them as a reminder and if this means we’d not lapse in cup games till the end of the season, it’s worth it having a loss against a rival in the league game where it doesn’t matter much but it gets everyone to sit up and know the dangers of anything going wrong in 90 mins.

A performance like that in either of the three cups would mean us going out ... but in the league we can perhaps afford another couple of defeats even ... law of averages and stats and all that dictate we weren’t going to win 40+ games on the trot, even now the chance of winning another 20 straight is rare to none so as long as those bad days don’t come on cup days, we’d be just fine ...
what are you doing making sense again. this place is for venting all sorts of conspiracies not making sensible arguments. lol.

Why is this game brought forward?

Only this game is a midweek PL fixture this week.

Is it related to the Carabao final weekend game?

We gonna have then 1 game more up until end of April.
thats why always read the first post. mag always covers all bases and all the info you need on a game is usually there. and this too is explained.

Not scored in 1, yeah struggling sack em all.

Stuck 4 passed a Wolves arse end though to make it 21 wins in a row, you need to score to win games
The vast majority of our games haven't been high scoring,we have 80% possession and rarely threaten the goal. Our goals to opportunity ratio must be amongst the worst in the league.

I'd like to see De Bruyne play. It's to our benefit that he's at his best and getting games is a sure-fire way to do that. I won't mind either way though as I'm confident we can win with or without him in this fixture.

Just noticed we play twice before united pay next. Win both and that will kill any thoughts of a collapse and challenge they had.

Back to Bernardo and Foden for this please.

Come on, we've been on a great run without a recognised Striker in a lot of games. Leagues Top Scorers.

The disrespect shown to Pep and some Players after 1 defeat is disgusting.

Gabby F'd up but his reaction to the Pen going in was enough for me, he was distraught and went on to have a terrible game but he really cared. Rather that than some fancy poseur who doesn't give a shit.

Sterling, Gabby, De Bruyne all have enough credit to be excused a bad day.

I'm over it and looking forward, Rags won their Cup final with a first minute penalty, fuck em.

No problem with that opinion, but what does it have to do with my original comment about our lack of goals?

We had 3 or 4 chances in the last 15 minutes Sterling missed a tap, in phil missing one, Stonesy at the far post, not to mention the header by Sterling. Rodri should have put that one away that hit the bar

And ignored my response, while going on a tangent.
You're right I did ignore your response, sorry.

You could argue the Rags missed 2 easier chances that were hit straight at Ederson, its not just us that do it.

Yesterday was more about decision making rather than missing guilt edged chances and the non penalty, not even looked at.

Need to put the derby defeat behind us by getting back on track and playing our normal game , the tactics that won 21 games on the bounce , no overthinking for this one

Ederson
Walker , Stones , Dias , Laporte
Mahrez , Bernardo , Dinho , Foden , Torres
Aguero

the usual six changes for Pep , get 60 minutes into Aguero's legs bring the enforcer back into midfield and the pace and energy of Bernardo & Foden and give Torres some much needed game time, FFS undroppable at the moment he has been brilliant recently. 3-0

Another day they all go in, Sterling put off enough to completely miss it. Phil did great but got the shot wrong, I do think Rodders should of scored though.
