It's odd isnt it pisscan had a terrible record in Europe yet because the press/media are so shit scared of him he gets away with it. Even now that he is retired the press/media still havent got the balls to say it. Twice in 26 years fir a so called big Europe club is crap.
In any other big Europe club not based in England he would have been sacked.
And remember even in the domestic front he never did the treble
Over the past few years I've referred in posts to an e-mither conversation I had with a football journalist when, ahead of the 'Munich 50 derby' at Old Trafford in 2008, 'The Observer' sports section carried an article which anticipated poor behaviour from City supporters during the forthcoming commemoration.
There was no such poor behaviour from City supporters. In fact, the commemoration was perfectly observed in the stadium, a credit to Manchester.
The e-mails covered a range of issues I raised with said journalist. I had been particularly critical of the way the UK press had not taken Manchester United to task for its behaviours to the families of the deceased at Munich and survivors alike during the 50 years since the disaster.
The journalist (whose output I enjoy and in many cases admire) agreed with everything I had written but said (and I quote verbatim) 'If you think I or any other football journalist is going to jeopardise his career taking on Manchester United and Alex Ferguson, you've got another think coming'
That lot across town has got its tentacles everywhere in the media. It has perfected the art of media manipulation over many decades.
It's what we're up against and, 12 years into The Sheik's project, we're only really at the beginning of the process of taking them on, along with the rest of them in the G14.
I'll repeat - this is what we're up against. So, nay-sayers out there, don't even try to tell me that there isn't an agenda being orchestrated by United, their G14 pals and the supine sports media in this country which is intent on undermining us..
