Just caught BBC Look North West at lunch time and had to laugh as Eleanor Morris announced ''Manchester United strengthened their grip on their champions league place...''

It will come as a surprise to absolutely no one that there was no mention of the gap between the two clubs, or who is currently leading the Premier League table *checks table. Yep, it's still City*.

To be fair, she also described their result as a 'one all victory' so the bar for good reporting wasn't set particularly high today!

We'd ridicule her if she said anything about closing gaps in the title race or keeping pressure on tbf.

With a red shirted team at the top, they'd be in a different colour to show they aren't part of the discussion but with us 'we're not really here'.

It's petty but it's also funny as fuck the lengths they go to to try and blank us. The only issue is someone just getting into football or with little or no knowledge wouldn't have a clue we are where we are and that could affect future supporter numbers, you'd have thought even with their dips links Carlsberg wouldn't be too chuffed with Sky/Bt doing what they're doing.
