Billings (as in what they charge out) in 2000 Q4 128.1m Euros. 2000 entire year 460.3m Euros.

So lets go for 4x 128.1m =
512.4m euros potential income (don't forget expenses/tax/wages/etc to knock off) with no growth in 2021. Lets be generous(!) and say they get about 25% growth , so 640m euros

Now they are going to throw 55m euros at a shirt sponsorship, so thats
over 10% if they don't grow, or 8.5% if they do grow 25%, of their entire Billings income.

Talk about betting everything on red!

Also, there is no way Teamviewer (which has been around for ages) would have achieved such growth in 2020 (nor it's forecast for 2021), without the effects of Covid on the remote control landscape, which begs the question... what on earth did Woody have lined up (if anything), to replace Chevrolet this year? As there's no way Teamviewer was anywhere on the horizon.

I'd heard it was quietly downgraded so it was significantly less than the amount they'd originally claimed. I believe it ended up about the same as this new reported deal.

Less than £50m a year, for the next 5 years, isn't terrible but it's definitely not as good as it should be for a club with supposedly 1.1bn "fans". £60m+ would be closer to the mark I'd have thought.

Ah would make more sense.

Agree with the latter part, even in the press release they're still going with 1.1bn fans line, if that was even remotely true it'd be a lot more than £47m.

Always makes me smile to see rags say city winning doesn't bother them because they don't know many or come across many city fans in life. All that does is show you're supporting a team so far away from your location that you don't know anybody who supports their geological neighbours. Aka a glory hunter without the glory. These cretins are laughing at themselves for us.

It's always the same 2 or 3 fans in the office they know as well(The Arsenal/Liverpool's). Basically, the knobhead gang in the workplace who the genuine supporters from those areas hate. How anyone can pluck a club out of the air to *cough* support, then look down on others who are brave enough to stick by their struggling clubs, I'll never know. Cowards are what they are. Our rise must be killing this lot.

3rd place gets a shot at qualifying but they've to go through qualifying rounds to make the group, don't know how many or who they're likely to play though.
 
The irony. After a 2 nil defeat Rags women’s team boss came out with this:

"How you can have somebody fouled and fouled and fouled and fouled and we do nothing?" Stoney told BT Sport.

obviously not seen Fred, Slabhead and McTominay play.

btw. Arsenal 14 fouls, 4 yellows inc a 2nd yellow=red. Rags 12 fouls, zero cards and they still moan about the ref

By all accounts they didn't even have a meaningful attack until the Arse decided they were happy to sit on a 2 goal lead so imo she's only trying to deflect from her players getting outclassed. Arse will catch them for the last spot I reckon, they look to be in a bit of a false position in the table when you look at their GD compared to the other 3 sides.
 
I have insufficient privileges to post on the Women’s thread, due to alleged sexism. But still amazed we have a separate thread named “women” which is catch all for this gender. Rant over I needed to highlight my disgust at Rags last night I have been a real fan of our team since it’s conception in fact I once started a thread specific to Steph but got removed as I was comparing her to being one of the clubs best ever captains along side Tony Book and Vinny, anyway I digress again.
Last night came as no surprise as the Rags within 2 years have destroyed the purity and sporting spectacle of our game which every team player and manager has established over the last 10 years or so.

players complaining to refs, dirty cynical tackles, side remarks, and the worst ever behaviour I’ve seen from a manager, that “woman” there you go I’ve said it, yes that “ woman” of a manager wants cutting out of our game, she’s the first sign of a cancer which will wreck the game.

you could almost predict this happening once the Rags gate crashed the party.

she also needs to be advised that the donning of a crombie is the reserve of the very elite in the game.... for which she ain’t

Good morning Blues ...has the Match Day Thread opened yet lol
